thanks so not every offer is the same. I have cancelled a few magazines after the first one arrived or as soon as they have taken money. So this is wrong?0

. Yes, it appears so - though all the offers I had tried in the past were similar it seems.

Hi,
I just emailed Nat mags to cancel my Harpers Bazaar subscription (applied a few months ago for free Molton Brown). I received a response stating it was a 12 month minimum term and I can't cancel! I am sure I would have noticed this and I would not have signed up if I had known.
Has anybody else had trouble when they have tried to cancel after the first direct debit has been taken? I have asked thm to post to me the agreement where it says it is a 12 month minimum, can people suggest anything else?
Thaanks!0 -

Hi, I had this offer and cancelled a while ago but not heard anything. (I only cancelled the direct debit and didn't email them!) I am sure it wasn't a 12 month minimum term as I wouldn't have subscribed if it was.0 -
I wonder if they realise a lot of people took out the subscription for the free gift and then cancelled, and now they are trying it on to get people to stay subscribed for 12 months. I have cancelled my direct debit and will wait for something from Nat mags in the post (the slightly annoying thing is I am also waiting for a free gift fom Zest, also Nat mags, and I don't even really like the magazine so I want to cancel it, my other theory is they are sending out gifts after 3 months so you stay subscribed for at least 6 months!) Any body care to comment?
The Molton Brown stuff was a really good free gift, but not so free if you pay for a year sub.0 -
I am getting a lot of grief as I am trying to cancel this Harpers sub through Nat mags. There have been a few email axchanges now and they keep telling me it is a 12 month minimum term. I have cencelled the direct debit, and told them that and asked for evidence to show I agreed to the minimum 12 month term.
Should I just forget about it now, or can they do something to my credit rating for cancelling the direct debit?0 -
Got my Body Shop make-up for the Elle sub today - it's really nice! Came in a tiny jiffy bag and didn't look like a magazine sub gift until I opened it.
A mascara, trio eyeshadow, lip gloss and liquid blusher thingie. Am really pleased0
