How easy is it to match up the actual direct debits that have been taken to the direct debits listed on my direct debit page on my online bank?

For instance, I have about 10 dd's setup now with lots of weird names that bear no relation to the mags I subscribed to. ie: Conde naste, Hachete Filipa etc.

I want to be able to cancel them as soon as they take the first £1 for 3 issues etc to make sure I don't get charged for further months, do any of you have any tips or a system in place to keep track of them?

I've never had more than three at once but you need to make note of the originators reference number - you usually get this when it's set up via email. Or it should be on the address label somewhere. Even if they are from the same publisher each mag will have a different ref number to identify it with you.

can anyone help.I subscribed to essential and m/claire in feb and today got a free gift of 5 x loreal hair products,has anyone received these and know which mag?

This has been my first run at the mag. subs thing, and the most I've had on the go so far has been about twelve (lots of £1 trials taken through Quidco, not been very lucky with the gifts so far, though!) Most are easy to identify (sub number listed on DD online matches to sub number given in post, some I've had to match through a Gmail search...ah, the joys of modern technology!) Only a couple baffled me, and I had to run a web search to find out that Seven Publishing print 'Delicious' & Edisea print 'Sailing Today'.

I check my DDs online every day & cancel any that have already come out, but also have (inner geek alert!) a big index card with a list of all the subs I've taken out, the date of each confirmation (email & postal), start issues, when to cancel, gift due & gift received. I'm sure a spread-sheet would work beautifully, I just like index cards!

Thanks to the excellent advice given on this thread I've been cancelling DDs online and haven't had any real problems - the only glitch I've encountered so far was subs with 'B' and 'Red' coming up as the same subscription number (and having to confirm by phone before cancelling both - *sob*!)

the loreal hair products are from marie Claire

essentials are original source - if you havnt had these email them as they have been sent out, I didnt get mine and they are sending me another set

I'm also still waiting for [STRIKE]Molton Browm from Harpers Bazaar[/STRIKE], Bag from Eve, the Easy Living Loreal Set and Matrix from Woman and Home.

The '3 copies of good food for £1' on the first page - can that be done through Quidco or not as I can't find it on the magazine site when I go through via quidco?

i have received kenneth Cole perfume from marie Claire and Molton Brown set from latest red offer.

Also, eye cream from eve (but still waiting on kew bag from eve..)
