You CAN cancel your direct debit at any time, but you still legally owe the money because you entered into a legally binding contract.
Whether RED would bother taking you to court is a different matter - they may well not bother enforcing it as it's too much hassle for them.
I wouldn't worry too much. What you may find is that they cannot honour the free gift and will give you the option to cancel (if it is anything like the last time!)0 -
I really wouldn't worry that they will sue you - it is not worth their time for such a small sum.0

am very sorry for the disappointment caused with the non receipt of the original gift and can confirm I have in this instance arranged for the Philosophy 'heat-to-toe' miracles for the hair, face and body gift to be despatched which I trust you will find a suitable alternative.
Please allow 10-14 days for receipt.
Just received this l after emailing about the non appearance of the Decleor gift with Red magazine.0 -

If you go into the Magazine Group via the £4.80 cashback offer you get to the Ideal Homes offer page. Type Fortean Times into the search box at the top of the page and it takes you to a 3 issues for £3 offer! HERE
£3 - £4.80 cashback = £1.80 + 3 free mags.

I had a very strong email from Nat Magazines accusing me of misuse of gift subscriptions which according to them amount to fraud and theft!!!!
They threatened to contact the police if I continue to subscribe....
Has anyone else had this??
The only thing I may be doing wrong is using both my address and my mothers, sometimes I use my maiden name.
Rest assured I am steering well clear of any future subs offers0 -
I received a parcel in todays post with some perfume that came with the Glamour sub, unfortunately its a replacement perfume as they have been apparently inundated with subs to the magazine.
It smells ok though but I can't remember what I was supposed to get in the first place!
I also got a mini Maglite torch in the post yesterday, I have no idea what mag thats from either (yes I am disorganised!)Stopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945Smoke free days = 11 Years :TCash saved so far = £125,45,110 -
They took the Direct Debits out this week for two of my mag subs. I have now cancelled the future DD's and hope the mags still come. Not got one free gift!!! only E-mails saying they had run out. On the other mag that I paid a (cheap) lump sum no gift but they say they will send me 2 extra mags at the end of my subscription!!0
