Mobile Broadband in Mallorca

We are going on holiday on Tuesday to Mallorca (Portals Nous near Palma) and plan to take my notebook (which runs on linux) with us so DD and her friend can use MSN. Rather than having to go to a bar\cafe with wifi I wondered whether getting a PAYG Dongle would be an option. I thought that buying one in Mallorca from a local internet provider would be the cheapest option. Has anyone else explored this option?

You do not say whether you are staying in a hotel or in S/c, but a quick google for hotels shows
Marina Portals, Portals Nous has free wifif
Maria Luisa, Portals Nous
Hotel Playa Portals
It may be that you have to be staying and a password is needed, but it could be that they are open.
If you visit the port of Andratx, the port has free wifi around the port (wireless ID Portconnect_A B or C), also at the Cafe Cappucino it is free as well. (as at May when I was last there)0
