M&S staff

I bought a turkey from M&S and put it in the fridge. Opened the fridge today and it stunk so I rang M&S to tell them and they told me to come to the shop for an exchange/refund. Told them we couldn't, all the drivers in the house had drunk too much to drive :-[ So one of the staff asked me where I lived, and she dropped a nice new turkey off after she finished work.

i found a wallet the other day lying in the car park, checked the contents no money but loads of credit cards and a wage slip with the owners address on, i recognised the address and realised it wasnt to far out of my way to call on my way home, so instead of taking it to the police i thought i'd bob round with it. anyway i got to the house and knocked the guy answered so i asked if it was the the person named on the wage slip it was, so i asked if hed lost anything today, he said he had his wallet, so i guessed it must be the right person, i handed him the wallet, he took it from me and closed the door not a word of thanks, kiss my !!!!!! or nowt, i then lifted the letter box and shouted "and a merry f***ing xmas to you too" ::) ??? >:(

That was a horrible way to react or not react to your kindness.

I do not know if he was pig ignorant or just stupid but with an attitude like that he is unlikely to get anybody doing anything for him in future and it serves him right.

Congratulations on doing the right thing and in putting yourself out to help someone and please do not let this put you off.

awww thanks elona, i'm always managing to get my self in the wrong place at the wrong time ::) if owts gone wrong ya can count on me to be there to try to help, not everyones polite or even appreciates your input, but thats me always trying to do the right thing, i dont let it get me down its not worth it, i'll have my say then let it go ;D ;D

M&S surpassed themselves.

I took back a bottle of wine because it tasted disgusting to M&S. The cheeky so and so said "just cos you don't like it you can't bring it back" I politely asked her to taste it to see for herself. She begrudingly gave me my money back.

I think the M&S staff attitude in my local branch has gone downhill over the years. 2 or 3 stand around talking while 1 is serving a queue on the till. If you ask if they have anything you get a curt "if its not out No". Was fed up with this response to the lovely biscuit curls that little poppy had been nagging me for. For 2 months I had this response. Anyway I asked for the section manager to find out if it was a discontinued line and how the coffee shop always had a supply. Hey presto he went to the store room and found a full box full.

e...they used to be the very best for service but i had a terrible experience with them just after christmas. i bought a jumper for my boyf, and knowing how picky he is with clothes left the tags on and kept the reciept. it didnt fit so we took it in to exchange for the next size up. at the 'customer service' desk (!?) there were two women just chatting to each other, one finally ambled over looking totally disinterested, looked at it and said it had bits of fluff on it so was unreturnable. we had a look there were a couple of bits of yellow fleece on the sleeve...lord knows how they got there it was only out of the carrier for a couple of minutes.....i said they could easily brush them off, they said that wasnt possible as id brought it in in that state, i offered to do it myself, no luck, then she called the superviser..who was the woman she'd been chatting to who just shrugged and didnt care. then the first woman told me that she'd remember me in case i tried to return it another day...what the hell...so we are stuck with a £30 jumper that doesnt fit...grrr

ps. poppy....those biscuit curls were lovely..was that a christmas line or do they still stock them?
