Shill bidding scam! Avoid this seller!

I think I know why some things are coming up and some things aren't. If the search goes through ebay.com it doesn't find her, while ebay.co.uk does. Unfortunately, it looks like she's still in business.0

Think it may take a day or so and they will probably be removed from ebay. That's the normal procedure.

I'm still not convinced it's a shill bid situation.loates123 wrote:
Perhaps eBay could buy these kind of tools and use them themselves rather than rely on kind spirited people like us. Then we might feel they were actually doing something worthwhile AND making loads of money at the same time.0 -
I downloaded the "completed items" history of one of the named bidders and copied it into Excel. In the last month they had bid on 610 of the seller's auctions. This included winning multiple numbers of the same product.grabbit wrote:I'm still not convinced it's a shill bid situation.
None of us can tell is it's shilling or not although it certainly looks like it. A report to eBay will at least get the matter investigated. Can I help?0 -
I think it does not look like shill bidding, shill bidders would normally loose & at least some auctions would have been cancelled. It looks to me like someone who sells on him/herself or buys with a group of friends & while I've never bid to that extreme I have bid on alot of item's from an individual seller/s & won knowing I would receive agreed very low postage, if I spent over £100 or previously agreed amount, mostly when looking for birthday/christmas presents but also underwear which was not only for me but 5 or 6 friends & received freebies ontop of many items bid for this way.0

That's pretty much within eBay's definition of shilling though. Selling to friends in the knowledge that you'll get a minimum amount is against the rules.
All three users mentioned in the original post are in Shropshire; it's not a massively populated county. Can I help?0 -
It's easy enough to set up multiple accounts and shill bid.seems very much like this is the case on this one.....either way it's out to artificially inflate prices...which is against eBay rules.
