Wow, ten pages, I don't think I've got time to read through it all, is there anything important I've missed?
I was in a meeting all day, really positive and got loads of ideas. It was all about PFI and housing regeneration, people bouncing ideas off each other. And there was free food! I'm knackered now though.
Does anyone know anything about hay fever? Is it normal to get a sore throat with it? I thought I had a cold, but the new GP said it's probably hay fever, I've taken a couple of the tablets but they don't seem to be having an effect yet, but it's probably too early to tell.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

I think it would be great, kids all playing together, drinking beer, BBQ's etc. My trailer tent thing will sleep 2 more so if anyone wants to tag along, we can do that!
That would be FAB. Count me inIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Ames, both me and DD have hay fever but dont usually get a sore throat. Sniffly nose, itchy eyes and mouth for us :cool:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I think it depends on the individual Ames and the type of allergy and the time of year. Mine starts late May and is starting to tail off now. I've had it since a child but it got hugely worse when I moved here and is almost non-existent if I'm in another area or out of the country during this time - apparently it's the pine trees which Poole is surrounded by on the heathland plus grass for me. My Dad is March and November (a particular type of tree). I have very heavy headed feeling - like getting up with a hangover every day, blocked sinuses, sticky eyes and it tails off to a bit of a sneeze and a cough in July. My Dad gets a really bad cough and bad chest with his.

I find I have to take the tablets for about 2-3 weeks before the season starts for me. I never really know if they are helping, but I didn't take one the other day and by mid-morning I was sneezing and feeling like I was getting a cold. Took one when I got in and it calmed down again.

Thanks guys! I'm not sure it is hayfever, it's felt more like a cold but I've never had hayfever so I wouldn't know the difference. I've got to see the GP again in a couple of weeks anyway, so I'll see how it is then.
Just seen Bunny's post quoted by Spud, I'd be up for a camping weekend! I've got access to a couple of tents, one small one bit, but I can't put them up on my own! I've also got a stove (and need to get another one, since they've banned gas ones from Leeds festival).
So, just let me know when summer starts...Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
