Well the suns out here today but it feels quote chilly out. Thay have said that there will be rain later on today here. Im hopeing that it will hold off so i can dig my spuds up. I dug enough up yesterday for dinner last night but the others still need to be got out of the ground.

Not much on today to be onest. We were going to the local farmers market But as there is not anything that we really need it would just be a waist of money and when money is tight as it is at the moment we can do without buying just for the sake of buying.
Might have a salad for lunch today.
No plans for dinner tonight as of yet. Might have a bit of fish
Pipper s. I hope that you enjoyed your asda take away last night.

    Morning all,

Nice day so far here, bright and breezy, although we are meant to get more rain later , one wash is on the line, one in the wm, and one more to do.

We need to have a general tidy through, hoover and mop floors, swish and swipe the kitchen and bathroom and then the day is ours :T, dd is off out with her dad, and OH and I will do our usual Saturday walk, with a picnic, and flask of coffee.

My veg in the garden seems to be suffering a bit, I think it has has too much rain, hopefully we will get a warm spell for a while to sort it out.

I got booking conformation of my holiday, we are going here, Mummysaver is this anywhere near you ?? otherwise we can meet in Taunton, or where ever suits you.

Cheesy Nabs for tea tonight, nice and easy, will see if OH or dd can make it :D

Hester, Ouch your poor DH, sounds like you and him both need to rest up, hugs to both of you xx

Aussie, Happy Christmas xx :xmassmile:snow_laug:santa2: :D

Jackie, enjoy your trip, I am very envious too x

Stef, hope this pregnancy is better for your dd, lol at your dgs, how sweet.

    morning all!

    got the weekend off!:j

tomorrow I'm doing the race for life at Hereford in memory of my best friend Lesley who as you may know died from ovarian cancer last December, just hope it stops dry!
    Plans for today are

    clean through the house(done)
2 loads of washing(1 down 1 to go)
    ironing(next thing to do)
    clean holiday cottage
    go shopping for groceries
find a few minutes for a read of my new Karin Slaughter book

Diva - glad you talked to tristan

Re swine flu - I work in a small residential home for adults with visual impairments and learning disabilities and we have gone into overdrive with precautions. There is alcohol hand gel everywhere, all surfaces are being wiped down with antibacterial wipes(door handles, telephones etc) and we have got a weeks worth of food in storage, extra medication and extra cleaning supplies because they are so worried that a lot of staff may be off ill that it will be hard to cope. Lets hope things dont get too bad, as of yet there are no cases near here. DH is at risk because of his heart disease and I have previous history of severe pneumonia so we crossing our fingers that we dont get it.

anyway enough of that depressing talk:D hope you all have a great weekend x
    Do what you love :happyhear

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Hello!

Last night we went to see Twelfth night in the park, it poured with rain but we all sat it out in full waterproofs, groundsheets and brollies and still enjoyed ourselves with picnics and wine! So very british!:rotfl:

Today I have a hair appointment and then need to get to the library as I have a large list of books recommended to me and can't afford to buy them, then tonight we are off to a wedding reception so we need to get a gift, not sure what - maybe a nice photo frame?

Managed to get a lovely set of heart shaped cookie cutters in a stainless steel tin for dd in tk maxx for just £3.99. She is starting to bake again and I am giving her every encouragement.

have a lovely day all - Aussie enjoy your early Christmas dinner!

((((hugs)))) to Hilstep and dd and to anyone else who could use one

    Catz x

    Hi there

Don't seem to be getting much time to post lately as been out and about with the kids.

Weather here looks like it is going to pour glad I bought some new baking tins yesterday so looks like that is on the cards. Got an 8 inch springform, traybake tin and a square cake pan. Mite do a rice crispy traybake but not sure what to do in th 8inch one. Any ideas???

Tomorrow I have a Christening and nothing to wear so will have to raid the wardrobe and come up with something as I only have black in there.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Thank you for all the wishes for DS on his birthday.....I have printed them off for him as I tried to explain it to him and he got confused and thought Martin Lewis had sent him a card:confused:....he did have a good time though:D It always seems an odd way to have a birthday but it works for him.
DS went off to his dads last night...I didnt wake up until 9am:o ooooh the shame.
Am having a tidy round today and might make some twinks. not sure whats for tea yet.

Morning all. Had a lie in this morning courtesy of my H :D Although I admit lying makes me feel pretty lazy all day so I end up suffering for it in the long run!
Got a quiche to make with some freebie courgettes an old chap gave me whilst we were admiring his allotment.
Usual housework, dusting, washing. Hope the weather holds so I can dry some stuff on the line like the bed sheets. H is going to cut the back hedge (EEK!) - last few times he's done it he's cut through the electric wire - thank goodness I insist on a power breaker.........
Going to put DD to bed for a nap soon and head out into the garden, try and get some weeding done.
DS appears to be dry at night now :T which is fab. One less set of nappies to buy!

Hilstep - I am very sorry about the passing of your ex-FIL. Not having a very good week are you [hugs]

Catznine - the play sounded like fun. Nice that we Brits can still take some of the poor weather in our stride.

Taplady - good luck for your run tomorrow and sorry to hear of your friends passing

Stefejb - your DGS sounds adorable

Diva - glad you spoke to Tristan

Have a good day all OS or not.
I really really really really want to go and see Harry Potter but don't have the funds at the moment  I suppose I shall have to wait for a while.....

    Morning All

Diva - glad you have been in contact with Tristan

Hester - your 'done' list has made me feel tired and lazy :rotfl:hope Oh recovers asap.

Taplady - best of luck with the race.

Bitsy - I know what you mean, I had a small lie in this morning and feel groggy now - must force myself up normal time in the school holiday.

Lovely sunshine here at the moment altho its very windy, think its meant to be dry all day so will have a barbie tonight. Have mum & her partner coming over tomorrow but the forcast is dire so wont chance it then.

Have cleaned the shower room and run some errands this morning and thats it so far. Just about to start a fry up (in the remoska) for brunch and will start cleaning the kitchen at the same time. I also want to get the bathrooms done as well.

Think I will avoid sitting down much today as I dont want to risk not getting up again.

If I have time will do some baking but thats not imperative.

    Have a great Satuday.
