Looking For Log Cabins To Rent in UK

My boyfriends sister is 40 soon, and he is trying to organise a weekend away for her and various members of their family to celebrate.

He is trying to find some log cabins to rent in the UK. His sister also likes horseriding/outdoors stuff, so would like to possibly combine these.

They are hoping to go from 1st - 3rd Jan 2010, and are based in Leicestershire, so the Log Cabins need to be within a few hours drive if possible.

Does anyone have any suggestions please or know where I can search?

Thanks for your help.

    Try this site.

I have also found that local, independent travel agents tend to be pretty good in this respect. I can recommend this place but not within a couple of hours of Leicester I'm afraid :(

I've stayed in a few log cabins , all booked through www.hoseasons.co.uk , they have loads of choice and are well priced. You can usually find discount codes for them too.

Kenwick Park, Louth, Lincolnshire. There is some sort of equestrian building on site now. I believe Hoseasons do it.

    Hiya,
stopped in a log cabin a fe wweeks ago in Ledbury & they were beautiful, just out in the country so peaceful without being too far out & beautiful views with fishing pools as well, the ones we stopped in were the 'springpools' I think anyway.
I think it was called Woodside lodges, but I know they also take bookings through hoeseasons
    Hope this helps

I've stayed here and can really recommend them - http://www.forestholidays.co.uk/

They have a number of sites across the UK, we stayed at the Keldy site. The treehouse might be a bit extra special for a birthday, but they get booked up a long way in advance.

Also they all have a hot tub which is fab!!

    too many comps..not enough time!

Forestholidays have cabins in the New Forest and there are some stables there where you can ride western style and have a cowboy bbq.
