Help- Wanted make & mobile of mobile that does Chinese text.
A friend on mine from China wants to buy his mobile from UK because they are so much cheaper there. The only thing is he wants to be able to send English and Chinese text messages. Basically he wants chinese characters.
Do you know of any mobiles that have this?

I doubt very much you'll get one, anything with the chines set will be for another region. The only ones sold here have the European set.
On some handsets you can reflash them to other regions, but that would blow the guarantee.

Ask him to pay 15 quid to re-flash the firmware (normally there is a shop who could do it in china town). Otherwise he might can change the product code # of the phone and re-flash it himself like Nokia0
