i think maybe you should give it a few more nights,(like someone else has already suggested)out of the norm does take time to get used to ,we brought a water bed and that took a while(even though we had tried one out and decided we definetly wanted one)!now i cant imagine sleeping in anything else ,tbh love the swishy swishy :rotfl:good luck with it0

I had to do a mystery shop on these a while back - and I was told that the mattresses MUST be put on a solid base. I was informed that they do not work if you just put them on top of a normal sprung base. Maybe your actual bed frame is not supporting the memory foam properly.ELITE 5:2

Took my husband and I about 2 weeks to get use to ours but now I would not swap for anything.
At the time I was like you and really thinking of sending it back but I stuck with it and it is the best nights sleep ever.
I do have a solid frame bed though so that might have made a difference.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;

£150 from ebay full memory foam. I have a fairly solid bed and have never found that i sink around the bottom (and weigh considerably more than you!) so hopefully your new bed frame will solve the problem.

I hated my memory foam mattress too, kept waking up with hot sweats and thought it was my hormones kicking in. Persevered with it for about 12 months then bought a pocket sprung with latex top, best thing I ever did and the night sweats have disappeared (except in the heatwave a few weeks ago). It wasn't a cheap memory foam mattress and I bought it from a very reputable furniture store and tried it out in the shop, it felt great, but it was a different story once I got it home and got the duvet on.
My advice is, see what it's like with the new frame, if it's no better cut your losses and get rid (haven't you got a spare bed it could go on), and buy one with pocket springs.
Try the which mattress thread on ' I wanna buy it or do it'.

Unfortunately there are many companies who have jumped on the memory foam band wagon, which means that there are now many poor quality memory foam mattresses on the market. A huge number of the poor quality ones come from China, so allways ask where they are manufactured (UK manufactured are the best by far).
Call trading standards first thing in the morning to find out what your rights are under distance selling regs.
If you have no luck with DSR's then you may find that you will get used to it after two or three weeks. It is actually very common when people go from an old worn out mattress to one that gives them better support to get back ache while their back gets used to the extra support. This doesn't sound like the case, but I'm hoping for your sake that it is.
As for the heat, you can get mattress protectors made from Outlast, and I understand that ones made from Climasmart will be available soon if you can wait that long.
I can see why you may be put off buying on line. There is no need to be put off, but just be careful who buy from. It is all very well trying a bed out in a shop, but this can only give you a very rough idea. You really need to sleep on a mattress to find out if it is suitable or not. There are sellers on line who give a satisfaction guarantee, and have a good return policy.
What is the make and model of the mattress, and who is the seller?0 -

Whoever told you that was telling you porkies. Unless it is a very shallow mattress it would be suitable for both platform top and sprung bases.0 -

It wouldn't be full memory foam, it would be memory foam on top of reflex foam.0 -
I thought these memory foam mattresses came with a money back guarantee if you weren't happy?0
