Talktalk do broadband, line rental and free calls (evenings and weekends) for £17.74 a month, or £4 more for unlimited free calls anytime.

How can calls be free if your paying for the bundle.:D

I am swapping right now. SKy also put my order through and my BB with BT will be up early September.

    With BT I pay 11.50 Line Rental + 22.50 BB Opt 3

With SKy I pay 10 Line Rental + 5 free evening, weekend and Calls to Germany FREE (my family stays there) + 10 BB. Is in total nearly a 10er cheaper.

    Hope everything goes smoothly!

If you have to pay £60 a year for the calls they hardly can be described as free.

Line rental goes up soon to £11. They tie you into a new 12 month contract which includes your Digital TV Subscription.

Their put you on their LLU network which if you decide to leave will be expensive to have service elsewhere.

Plus you have to pay a minimum of £16.50 a month soon going up to have Sky Digital in first place before you can get it.

I have SKy TV already anyway. Why should I leave sky? For me it works out just fine.... moneywise.

It would all depend on how confident you are about future finances, I suppose. OGF makes a very good point (it's a point I've also made several times) - fact is if you take out Sky's phone line, bb and/or calls packages you are effectively tieing yourself into another 12 months of Sky tv no matter how many years you have been with them. It is a valid point IMO. It's even more restrictive than, say, BTs min contract deal as with Sky it also ties you into a wholly unrelated deal, effectively.

Ok guys, did think about it and since I had to call BT anyway bc they wanted to cancel my broadband a months earlier, a nice woman asked me for the reason why I leave BT. I have been straight forward and said: The price! The service was perfect though, i think the line wasnt working for only 10 hours in over 4 years!

She talked to me and after a wee while she offered me:

    BT Line Rental
    BB Option 3 (unlimited)
    New Hub
    New Hub phone
for £24.74 a months, which beats Sky.

Ok, the price is worked out, as they would credit my account with £24 right away and my BB goes down to £15 a months.

I usually paid: £11.50 line rental + £23 for BB.

I was dead surprised about that offer which I obviously agreed to!

    Cancelled Sky right away.

    Worked out fine for me!

Did she say how long that price would last for?
