Help Cancelling a USB Contract

Hello, I am looking for any help please! I took out a contract on a USB dongle for my previous job and my company used to pay me the cost. Sadly the company went down the pan and I was made redundant, I am now trying to cancel the USB as I really can't afford it and don't use it. They are telling me there is no way out and I have to pay the charges until it is out of contract or pay a cancellation fee which is the same value as keeping it going until it expires in January.

Has anyone experienced this or does anyone know how I can get out of it?

Thanks

A contract is legally binding for its term, there is no 'get out'.
All you can do is try to drop it to the minimum plan (sometimes over the course of a few months).
The other option would be to find someone else who wants it and transfer the contract to them.
