  • Hello everyone

Faye~had to laugh at your “romantic stroll” It does sound idyllic, walking hand in hand along the beach with the sound of the crashing waves all around. Reminds me of when Mr FH and I did the exact same thing along a beach in California. I saw my first shooting star too. Okay, I’ll stop now because I sound pathetic. :rotfl:

40sm~sounds like a good plan you have. Especially as your other half is supporting the idea too. Mr FH goes booze free quite often. Then he goes through a spell of saying “I’m just off out to buy myself a beer, want anything?” Sometimes it’s just for the sake of having something wet though. He rarely just drinks water, whereas I will happily have glasses of water if I’m thirsty. So I think for him it’s the fizz thing. But for me, I’m drinking because it’s alcohol.

No revelations overnight I’m afraid. Although I don’t have any wine in the house, only a lonely bottle of beer in the fridge. I have to rush home and get the boys after work, so no time to get to the shops really. Would have to pay a stupid price for wine at the corner shop, if I want anything. The willpower is there right now, just have to keep it up.

The only thing I was thinking last night was, how many people are acting just like me. I mean, am I the only girl in the street drinking wine every night. Or is my neighbour across the road doing the same thing? Or the girl two doors down? I actually stood at my window one day and watched the recycling men empty the green boxes to see how many wine bottles they put in the truck. Quite a lot! And not just mine! It’s not really a question you ask in normal conversation though is it? Although a friend of mine did confess recently that she drinks on the evenings that she can. Part of the reason she took on a part-time job 3 evenings a week. I responded with “I bet most people do” Didn’t confess my sins. I don’t think anyone would suspect I’m a drinker. Quite the opposite actually. I’m the girl with a glass of water at the end of the night. But I’ll probably have had a bottle of wine even before I went out. Not that I go out often these days. Babysitters go home and you still have to get up early. No fun!

    Much love X
    Need to start again :o

See, BHB has the right idea!!:D

WB, yes doggy racing was at Blunsdon. Dad has owned various dogs over the years (some mum knew about, some she didn't :rotfl:) and they now have two of his retired racers at home. He more or less lives at the kennels!
