The giving up/cutting down alcohol support thread! Part 4

Well my first week on the challenge was complete pants. I drank 5 days out of 7. I really need to lose some weight so must try harder with the drinking as it is this which also throws my eating into disarray.

I seem to be able to stay off cigarettes and eat healthily when I am sober. So why do I kid myself that a couple of glasses of red wine won't hurt, when I know it will end up being a whole bottle plus 10 fags and a kebab? :cool:

No wine bells last night despite DH being on the beers . Was feeling really pleased with myself then out of no where I developed a really "grumpy, fed up mood ". Went to bed early just to get away from myself:rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway , today DS2 is 8 :T:T. So going out for a birthday tea later.

There was much excitement earlier opening the presents . Now, they are all upstairs arguing:mad: .

And I know what you mean about being grumpy & getting away from yourself - I went to bed early feeling like that too, & I was drinking!

That sounds like a lovely service, Cazza. A lovely tribute to a lovely lady. I would rather my own funeral be upbeat rather than a depressing service.

I was on the wine last night (it goes with my chilli for tea!:o) and then had malibu whilst I watched Big Brother. Got headache and feel sick this morning.
