  • Morning all and welcome to the newbies :hello:

I was going to try to be AF yesterday, but then just thought xxx it, and of course had far too much pinot grigio. I feel annoyed with myself and ill.

Well, new job a week on Monday, after all these years working from home, surely this must be the huge life change which will sort me out? It would be great to be completely AF, but I just can't imagine myself being capable of achieving that. I know it's one day at a time and all that.

Sorry for the miserable post, but it's the way I feel. I always achieve my targets though, but really look forward to the non-AFDs I have allowed myself - so addicted.

Have a good day everybody xx

I ask myself yesterday I was banging on about clear, sparkly skin, so where did that argument go ? In the recycling bin with the empty stella can. It's just not good enough.

Hi DC - I have had this argumen with myself too, after most of a month AF and feeling and sleeping better I then turn back to the wine bottle. Then even a couple of glasses affects me -skin, sleep, grogginess etc

The days of big heavy binge drinking are long gone - what do I do about the 2 or 3 glasses of wine once or twice a week/fortnight? That's my next decision.

Need to get to a stage where I can take it or leave it and that that's ok with me in my head. I'm thinking about it, if I don't have any booze in the house I won't go out and buy it. If it is in I want to drink it. I start to drink it and I don't enjoy it really. The penny might drop one day eh?

    Hi DC

    Look on the positive.

At least you put the Stella can in the re cycling bin:D and it was only 1 ;)

    ym

Truly DC, YM is right - look at the fact of "it was only 1" as the positive rather than beat yourself up, it's a much more effective tool :)

And yesterday is now gone & today is a nice shiny new day for AF-ness or anything else you want to achieve :A

  • Thank you, peoples, funny that one was enough for a change. Need to start a new book, hate reading under the influence, so there's a plan.

FUAS - I'd love to leave it, and don't really get what I 'like' about it.

  • First bicker of the day done and dusted with DH. I made him a cup of tea ( he is watching TV in bed) brought it up to him. ( A good wifie thing to do ). I was half way down the stairs when he yells " you haven't stirred it properly" " I have" I yelled. He then came downstairs for the teaspoon! .. Got him out of bed though!:rotfl:
