                    Can any one advise me.
I transferred my Tessa reinvested ISA and an isa account to Halifax. (they pay the same interested on TOISA and ISA). All my correspondence with Halifax only referes to Halifax isa saver and I have one account number for all transfers. My transfer statement states "we are pleased to confirm that the transfer of your ISA has been completed and details the individual totals of each account transferred. Can a tessa isa now become an ISA? Should I contact Halifax in case an error has been made? I am looking at transferring ISA account and will transfer TOISA as well if it can be treated as a normal ISA.
I do want to get maximum interest so if my old tessa is treated as a normal ISA this is fine but I do not want to have a tax/legal problem.
HELP!

No need to panic! Your old toisa is now treated as a cash-ISA by HMRC. Halifax seem to have handled the transfer correctly based on what you've said."The state is the great fiction by which everybody seeks to live at the expense of everybody else." -- Frederic Bastiat, 1848.0
