Eventually dressed!
Rained constantly all morning here Yuk!
Tested my ingenuity this morning trying to dig out something suitable to wear. Not helped by the fact that a small tyre has been slowly inflating around my middle since I came back from hols and my dark jeans are uncomfortably tight....Time for serious action again methinks!
Dug out a Debenhams empire line fine stretchy jersey tunic dress/top (from couple of years ago £? , but in the sale)with a big strong bright-jade green and black print and three quarter sleeves.
In the interests of comfort and on DD's recommendation ,(at home so no-one can see me!) have paired it with black footless opaque tights. (Cheap ones, DD cut the feet off herself). Think it looks ok!

Footless tights are the way to go, Bronnie. They instantly update an outfit and did you know Poundland are doing them in brown, black or purple opaque for, guess what, £1 a pair!!
Welcome to the thread, lizzie dripping!0 -
Got the day off today, so just pottering round the house at the mo and working up to go out into the rain - it's absolutely chucking it down here and hadn't let up in three hours.
Anyway, currently wearing:
purple t-shirt (M&S)
indigo velour yoga pants (Calmia via TK Maxx, £5 sale bargain)
grey Uggs (my feet are freezing)
And now the wind's getting up, so I'm going nowhere!0 -
Fab bargain esmecullen :T Sounds like your charity shop could teach the ones in Cambridge a thing or two - they have no idea about pricing e.g. walked past one the other day and they were selling a pair of used Cotton Traders wedges - asking for more than the original CT retail price!
Today, to sort of quote the Fast Show, I am mostly wearing...
Black pinstriped trousers -Simply Be
Black gypsy neck top - Simply Be again
Silver cropped cardi - Tesco
Black boots with 4 inch heels - bought on eBay, can't remember what make they are!
Wedding and engagement rings - Mr Buffy
Celtic knot bracelet - Past Times
Silver loopy earrings - possibly Sainsburys but I can't remember!
Black suede bag - Sainsburys
Hmmmm, having written that I sound rather boring!!!
I am not one of the skinniest girls around but neither am I one of the porkiest - I like Simply Be for trousers because they make trousers long enough for my long legs, that also go over my ample rump, but fit nicely around my waist - I gave up on Evans and similar years ago as their trousers just look like sacks on me particularly around the waist - I seem to have the waist of someone a size or two smaller than the rest of me -or maybe that woman has swopped her bottom for mine - maybe that's it!
Plus Evans seems to tend to assume that no one over a size 14 is taller than about 5ft 4!!! DFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -

Thanks for the tip, goanmad!;)
Will look out for them tomorrow! Don't know whether I can get away with wearing them out and about, but they're certainly a great new option for messing around.
Have now layered the dress with a black vest and added DD's stringy black leather flats. Yay! A new outfit!! Not much housework getting done here today and time to get undressed again and changed for work soon!!:rotfl:0 -
LOVE footless tights and leggings, wear them all the time as I wear dresses and skirts everyday - think it's been 3yrs since i wore a pair of trousers and counting!! so they are great for winter..and leggings - you can pick up some supper colourful ones from Primark and Matalan, (I'm soo not a fashionista, but obsessed with clothes nonetheless!)0

Buffy, i'm a sizw 14 and 5ft 2.....i really struggle with proportions of my clothes!!
Lots of new posters here today, a huge welcome to you all!!
Bronnie i read the same post and thought what??? Our intention is certainly not to make people feel bad, just to make the most of what you have and gain different ideas on how to put outfits together. Although all this talk of designer handbags at decent prices is making me soooooooooooo jelouse lol
Weather is absoloutly carp here today, i'm wearing black skinny jeans (as per yesterday) Black vest (m&S) blue long shirt (new look) and wedges from clarks.
Glowgirl, ds isn't home till tomorrow, he was supposed to go flying but it was cancelled cos of the weather (hurrah) he too sound miserable. Hope she enjoys her strawberry tart!!
back later Sharron xxxxSometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p0 -

Well done, fab bargain. I would have been camped out on their step until they opened!0 -

I think I would have done just that if I hadnt needed to get to office and deal with some urgent work, I knew that they didnt open til 10a.m and whilst gazing at it in the window saw 2 of the ladies going in so as office was only 2 mins away was straight on the phone and asked them to put it to one side and I'd be in right on 10............ lovely lady said that she'd hold onto it for me.
Now just got to think what the bag will go best with:rotfl:I'm looking after a very charming American who is over here doing photosessions and signings this weekend............ perhaps I can co-ordinate with what I will be wearing....... although dont want to seem too flashy lol
Tried to post a pic of the bag on here ......... but flaming computer will just not upload it. damntotal airhead, total bimbo, very superficial:D0
