Thanks for repoting the expert glitch. i went to the acm today and got the free blemish vouchers and saw the 2 for £5 offer and wondered if it would work. I might go and get 2 blemish gels tomorrow, my daughter gets a really spotty face at times and this might help for just £1.02.

I also got an acm voucher for 1/2 price on a venus shaver, they are half price at the moments so I hoped that it would be 1/2 price at the til and then the voucher would deduct the other half but it didn't so no glitch there. It did bring it down for about 6.98 to 1.71 I think so a bargain if you want one.
  • Havent been on the boots site for a while just the odd quick look as there didnt seem to be any glitches except for expert hair and branches i went to had none .
When i aw a new thread was really excited as thought things were happening - and they certainly were
I dont know about all the bullying and spats mentioned etc but i would just like to thank everyone who has taken time out to put onthe fab offers and glitches and taking the time to work them out.
Good memories - looking at my stash brings them back
Remember the Mitchum one with he coupons - ive still got 50 bottles left !
Then there was the £5.00 off olay that came with this - still got loads of hand cream.:beer:
What about the long hair serum with the voucher from boots mag meant we could get all that john Freda hairstuff for a few pence .
Double discount with the health club for cheap slimfast - i should be size 0 with all i bought:beer:
Free sanctuary body scrub with voucher from magazine - even though everyone raved about sanctuary for ages i could never afford it or missed out on the glitches - this as the first time ive had sanctuary (how sad) and it is lovely ive really missed out.
I know there have been loads of others but these have been the most memorable for me and i would have never had got any if it hadnt been for all the great peeps on here.
Not sure what will happen now with individual threads as what would you search for if you dont know what to look for in the first place ?
It seems such a shame for things to end up like this - as the aim is to get boosting and get as many bargains as poss -
I am sure things will work out in the end and a new thread with all on will be allowed as i am optimistic .
    Any ideas ?

Really sorry that Boots Grabbit has had to close. Only joined in January not contributed as much as some of you but thanks to all of you who have discovered all the glitches, and also minimum or no spend on the pinkies, perkies, hairies and binnies.

Thanks MD.Hughes for expert glitch, hope I have more luck with that then the Hair Loss One.

Think that is a great idea Butterfriends to start a thread for Christmas, and maybe continue into January for the sales

I have always thought you have spoken great sense, Anthea. Well said :T

I agree Sarnd. There comes a point where the evidence of your own eyes outweighs everything else.

Anthea I applaude your cleaning - especially your attempts to clean up this thread.

I wonder if I could add my tuppence worth without getting flamed please? Several posters have commented that a lot of the "regular posters" have stopped posting on here, and they have reached the conclusion that it's because we have kept glitches to ourselves. My name has been mentioned as being one of these one-time regular posters.

The reason I have stopped posting is quite simple - I haven't had any glitches to post about! Bargains have been very thin on the ground, and the odd glitch has been posted by others, and my "chatty" posts were criticised, as were my poems, so there was no point in posting.

Also, like CPG and, I suspect, many many others, I've had family problems to deal with. At one time I would have mentioned these on here, but previously I was accused of playing the Sympathy Card - that sort of comment is extremely hurtful.

As were the numerous other remarks that were aimed at me by a small group of people, who, alas, seem to get their kicks out of hurting others, and then trying to act as if they were the Injured Party.

These people are grown women, with families, who consider themselves wonderful examples of Motherhood, and have frequently stated that fact. Bullying has never been an attribute to be proud of possessing.

I've never had a problem with saying the word "sorry", but unfortunately some people are neither gracious enough to accept an apology, or offer one themselves, which is why World War Three kicks off on here.

I can't work out if this thread is now a replacement for Grabbit, as we are told we can still post bargains and glitches on here - has it just had a change of name?

Anyway, if I ever find anything worth getting excited about that nobody else has posted about, I will continue to let others know.

    xx

behindsofa.gif Can I firstly make it clear that I'm not on either "side".

Like many regular posters, irregular posters and so-called lurkers, I enjoy reading / contributing to Boots Grabbit and will miss it's existance in it's current form.

I'm horrified that Grabbit has been shut down as I'm sure some others are?

Is there any chance we can keep our opinions to ourselves regarding other members behaviours and just get on with what we are all really here for? Do we really want all Boots related issues to be excluded from MSE which I assume could happen if all of this unpleasantness continues?

I'm sure some will be unhappy with my comments, but like you all, I am free to make those comments too. Thanks.

i would just like to thank people for all the great posts in the past, i admit i havent posted on the board very often but have been a long time lurker going back almost 3 yrs and in all honsety the thread just got bad and as a mum i no longer have the time to go through thread after thread of !!!!!ing and arguing. It used to be a thread where everyone was so welcoming and kind and i would log on first thing in the morning to see the latest poems or to hear the 75% sale had started. Maybe we should all stop arguing between ourselves and just post glitchs as we see them there are some things in life much more important than bargain soap
