iPhone with existing O2 contract?
Options
Hello,
I'm 8 months into an 18 month contract with O2 but hate the handset I currently have...the Samsung Tocco. I know it's my fault for chosing this (thought I'd like it at the time) but I have my eyes on an iPhone...as I'm needing a new iPod as well.
Is there any way i can transfer my contract over on to an iPhone contract? Say, pay a slightly higher price for the handset and re-set my length of contract to 18 or 24 months? That way 02 know they have me for at least that long?
I'm unsure how it stands with things like that so wondering if anyone has any advice? Or, if I'm wanting an iPhone, is the best bet to buy a Pay and Go iPhone and put my pay monthly sim card in, buying the unlimited data bundle?
Cheers,
James

In short, no you can't, you would need to pay the remainder of your line rental to effectively pay that contract off and start a new one.

Even staying with the same network? Looks like a Pay and Go iPhone would be the way to go then I guess.0
