Anyone know how much TCX are charging for their inflight headphones, or perhaps even just the adaptor? Want to know if it's worthwhile buying my own from a local electonics store!
Thanks in advance!

Almost certainly worth buying your own, but do airlines still have those earphone sockets? From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -

Most headphones come with an airline adapter when you buy them...and if not, you can just use the larger of the 2 holes with a single pin headphone lead...at least on all the planes we have been on.
I read recently that TC was charging £3 or £3.50.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
it was 3.50 on the flight to canada, (however if you have upgraded though, with thomas cook, they usually include them in the price)MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0

Headphones are £2.75 each with thomas cook, only get them for free if you pay extra and get as a package as you get free drinks vounchers, headst vouchers etc.
You are prob better just buying the adapater and putting onto your own headphones, the adapters are £1 each.New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.

You can, but you will only get audio through one ear. However, with the noise of the plane, it is often difficult to tell the difference!Gone ... or have I?0 -

hmmm...with ours we definately get sound in both ears just using our standard plug in the larger hole, though not stereo.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I checked with my husband to make sure I wasn't going crazy - between us we've probably had 10 pairs of headphones we've used on flights over the last 9 years on numerous carriers (though never a charter airline) and have always had sound in both ears without using an adapter. Perhaps it's the type of plane and not type of headphones? Or maybe the charters configure the headphone jacks this way to encourage people to spend the extra on the headphones they sell?
Regardless, the last pair I bought (£10 at Sainsburys to replace the 3rd nice noise-cancelling pair I broke) had a 2-pin adapter for use on airplanes...and they can be used elswhere - whereas the ones you buy on a flight can only be used there really.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
