in Credit cards
Hello,
Under our noses, paypal seem to be systematically undermining us all and no one seems to be saying anything about it.
Over the last month i have been getting more and more emails from them saying that the monthly subscriptions that I have with them have failed in payment.
The reason for the payments failing is because they have chosen to change the way they do things.
There was enough money in my current account, traditionally where paypal would have pulled the funds from.
there was enough money in my debit card, the place that they say the want to funds to come from from now on.
The payments failed because paypal is demanding I full in a form to get the payments come out of my debit/credit card.
This serves no one but paypal and in my opinion, this is a scandal.
I have lost goodwill across the range of my business partners. As I have to use a pay as you go debit card, each transaction is going to cost me about £5 per transaction. On top of that I now have to pay cash into my credit card each time a recurring bill becomes due. I would be better doing it manually.
All so paypal dont have to take ont he tough assignment of withdrawing funds direct from my bank account.
If they get away with this, this is going to cost me hundreds of pounds. I am just the tip of the iceberg.
Can you alert others to fight this outrageous almost undercover action by paypal.

Err, I'm lost but it is early....
Why do you pay £5 per transaction on your debit card, and do you mean this is a pre-pay card?
Also, I though Paypal had a direct debit option, so even if you have to manually complete a transation it will still debit your currect account / checking account?
Do your monthly subscriptions have to be paid via paypal, it just seems like adding a third party for no reason. These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!0 -
Whenever I use PayPal to pay for something they are always keen to take the money from my bank account and not my credit card. If I opt for the cc they always post a message asking me if I am sure and saying that it is better to take it from my bank account.0
