I love The Seashell fish & chips shop in Lisson Grove, London, NW8, Bells chippy in Paddock Wood, Kent, and there was a lovely chippy in Glastonbury town centre I used when I was staying there for the festival, literally around the corner from the Crown Inn. All had freshly hand battered, FRESH fish, and I mean actual fish, not reconstituted or cheap cuts and were fantastic quality.

It is list of the hygiene ratings given by local authorites to food outlets in their area. I couldn't find your takeaway, but it is worrying the number of places that get no stars, where hygiene compliance is rated 'bad' and there is 'no confidence' in management.

If they are serving under-cooked chicken I would get on to your council about it - that is a serious breach of food hygiene and can make people very ill indeed.

I don't know the name of it, but there is a fantastic Kebab/Pizza place in the high street in Penrith. It's just 2 mins off the M6 and saves us a fortune, compared to service station prices, whenever we are coming back from Scotland.

NEVER buy chicken from Thorpe Park KFC, I mean jees I never knew a toilet could hold that much!!:eek:

You need to worry about the quality of meat too. There have been Watchdog-type programmes that show meat declared as 'Not fit for human consumption' being used!

By no means a defence of them, but if they did that to me once they'd lose the opportunity to do it to me on a "regular basis".

I only had the raw chicken once never used them again. I mean i know they did it on a regular basis as everyone has had a bad chickenland experience!
