    Please help, its so confusing...

We (husband and I) have booked Orlando for Easter. Have 3 daughters (15, 13, 12) and wanted to do the parks. We wanted also to do everglades and Kennedy space centre. Main "to do" on kids list is Harry Potter, I fancy Busch Gardens and Aquatica. I have been trying to buy a bit at a time, so this months "money" is the park tickets. Have seen the orlando flex ticket plus on Floridatix at £1,089. Is this my best option please?
Have never been before.. decided to go for it as the ages of the girls makes me think need to do now or never. Really excited.

Next month will be car hire (Airport is stanford) so any suggestions there would also be gratefully received.
Was thinking of trying to upgrade my TomTom to use in America, would this work please?

Hi, we're planning on going to Florida for 2 weeks next year. I'm looking at tickets and getting totally confused! I was thinking that we'd probably get 7 days worth of tickets: 4 days for Disney World, 2 days for Universal Studios and 1 day for Seaworld. Do the base tickets allow us to go to the parks through the day, then go back to the hotel (to freshen up, etc) then go back in later on (for the electric parades, etc), or does this count as using another day?

With Disney tickets, you need to buy park hopper tickets to visit more than one park a day. Personally, we find doing 2 parks a day too much, if we want to stay for the parades and fireworks, we simply go out later in the day.

If you're going in the summer months, the heat and humidity can make it very tiring and the parks are huge. If you're looking to go on the more popular rides you also need to factor in wait times. These have a big impact on how long you will be in a park.

Harry Potter, Despicable Me and Transformers at Universal can together, account for a good 4 hours of queuing, sometimes longer depending on when you go. And thats only 3 rides !

Seaworld is easily done in a day, it's quicker to get in and out of than the others. Parking at both Disney and Universal is a fair way from the parks themselves so there's another hour there gone too each day. I don't know what the situation is with transport if you're not hiring a car as we've never done it that way but with Magic Kingdom you still need to take the monorail or steamboat to the park gates once you've arrived.

We usually buy both 14 day Disney and Universal tickets as then we don't have to worry about trying to fit everything in in a short timeframe. You'll probably find it won't be much more expensive.

Yes, you can do this as long as you go back to the same park later that you started in
ie you can go to MK in the a.m., leave, then go back to MK in the evening, but you couldn't go to MK in the a.m. and then go to DHS or Epcot later in the day

Hi. I'm hoping some of you experienced disney travelers might be able to help. We're planning on going to disney at end April for 11 days, 2 adults and 2 children (7 and 4). It's going to be a special holiday for us so we're lucky that budget isn't too tight. We're planning on a moderate or cheaper deluxe disney hotel, mid range dining package and 14 day ticket. So far it seems best to Buy flights direct and get hotel / tickets together from the disney website. I know we're too late booking for lots of the deals / offers but wondered if anyone had any other tips to bring the cost down a bit?

    Thanks

We found the cheapest price by phoning and booking via Charter Travel, we are flying with Virgin and staying it OKW which is a deluxe disney resort. Thought this looked good http://www.chartertravel.co.uk/disney-port-orleans-florida-holiday

Also I noticed an online site http://www.kenwoodtravel.co.uk
    I would deffo shop around.
Also if you are flexible with your dates ask them to find the cheapest dates to go,it is normally dearer to fly of a weekend.
I found lots of useful info on https://www.thedibb.co.uk

  • Hi,

We are searching around and stumbled across lowcostusa.co.uk - the holiday we are looking at works out £400 cheaper than via expedia. Did speak to expedia about price match (as always use them) but they said I need to book with them first before they price match it which worries me as there is always somethign they will find that will get out of it.

Anyway, has anyone used lowcostusa.co.uk recently to make a booking? I've checked and they are ABTA/ATOL protected (and checked on the relevant sites that these are legitimate). Just wanted to know your experiences with them?

Would be flying Virgin staying on I-drive

    Thanks Lisa

Have you tried pricing it up DIY?

    Hi
I did check virgin site to see how much flights are and they are nearly as expensive as the holiday. Are there other ways to do it DIY ? Thanks Lisa
