whats a Disney dine card?
Disney offer Disney Dining Plans to United Kingdom holiday makers. You basically pay for the cost within your holiday and there are different levels of the dining plan.
Currently Disney have offers for holiday's with the dining plan and if you also book you get a Disney Gift Card worth $200 to spend at Disney.
Hope this helps.Claire0 -
Has anybody any experience of the beat way to send one of these chairs back to the U.K? My inlaws have always wanted one and as this will be the last time (they've said that before!) they want to have one as a reminder of their times in Disney. Thanks in advance.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

Are there any limitations on where I can ship my order? At this time, the Cracker Barrel Online Store can only ship orders within the United States and Canada. Our Fully Assembled Adult Rockers can only be shipped within the Continental United States.0 -
it might be worth checking on max size of luggage with your airline, you might be able to get a ready to assemble one delivered to your accomodation & then put it through as piece luggage depending on the package size & weight, a friend got a bike from Walmart home for her little girl this way, she managed to get hold of some extra cardboard and just got some tape to give it more protection0

My kids are mostly grown up and next year will probably be our last chance to holiday all together so might as well make it a one to remember. So the research begins
There will be 4 adults and 1 child and we are planning on staying in Orlando for 3 weeks in July 2014, so we have plenty of time to save and organise. I will be getting a quote from a travel agent to get what is probably a top end price. But what Im thinking we will need to budget for is.
Flights
A villa
Car hire/insurance/fuel
Park tickets (probably annual passes to cover the 3 weeks???) Want to go to disney obviously. Bigguns will want to go go Busch gardens. Harry potter world is also a must see.
money for food/spends (was thinking around 3k, older kids will have their own spending money)
Is there anything I have missed? Any insights or organisational tips would be appreciated.
I wouldn't get annual passes, I would just get the 14 day ones which work out much cheaper.
We're going for 3 weeks, and have booked 14 day passes.
The plan so far will be the US/IOA parks first 2 weeks, Disney second 2 weeks, and not sure when the SW/BG/AQ passes will be used but they're all valid for 14 consecutive days from the first day of use. They work out a lot cheaper than annual passed provided you use them wisely and (of course) are not going back within the year.

Hi all,
Thinking of Disney world Florida next year. There are 2 adults and 1 child, looking at going in the later part of the year.
Can anyone give me a ball park figure that I can reasonably achieve? I know it's a case of how long is a piece of string but we want to know whether we can afford it before we set our hearts on it.0 -
Depends when you are going, whether you want a villa or a hotel, whether you'll be hiring a car, what parks you'll want to visit, whether you want a package or are prepared to do it yourself. Too many variables to guesstimate costs really. First thing is to decide how you want to do it.0

Thanks. I want to do it as cheap as possible but without sacrificing the good parts. So with that in mind...
2 weeks
Hotel
Car hire
Wanna go Disney parks and Busch gardens and Harry potter. Would you recommend any others?
Defo prepared to do whatever is needed to get the cheapest
Just want to know whether I'm talking £3k or £10k or thereabouts0 -
Cheapest would probably be booking flights, car and hotel separately. Cheapest hotels tend to be on International Drive, personally, i would never stay on I Drive but thats because we've always rented a villa and parts of I Drive are a bit run down and tacky. Have a look on The Dibb Forum, plenty of reviews, recommendations etc.
If you get tickets for Disney and Universal, Busch Gardens is included in some of the Universal tickets. We're about to book our park tickets, Disney 14 day ticket is £248 and the Universal 2 park 14 day ticket is £99 (Adults prices) Kids under 9 are child prices.
You won't pay anywhere near £10k ! You will probably manage it for less than £3k if you shop around. We're going in the school holidays in July, 2 adults, kids aged 15 and 13, Virgin flights, villa and car total £4800 for 2 weeks. Park tickets extra of course. We did book 12 months ago though !0
