We stayed in the DTD area last year and didn't rent a car..we walked to downtown Disney and from there used the shuttles that Disney provide...that said it was time consuming and I did find myself wishing we had rented.
We walked to Crossroads in the opposite direction most evenings (approx 15 mins) where there are many restaurants etc
That was pleasant enough and we found we enjoyed it to be honest .
Going back next Christmas as DVC owners but will be renting a car this time as we want the freedom to go as we wish and when you add up the taxis etc it works out the same or thereabouts .
  • First time to Florida, I go next Saturday I wondered if anyone could help me clear up some info about tickets...

Are they cheaper in the UK or on the Gate, if they are cheaper in the UK who is the best ticket company to go with?

Buy your tickets before you go, it's cheaper.

Never used them sorry, maybe someone else will come along who has.

Edit. Just had a look on thedibb and as they are linked to whoever they are issued to, you run the risk of being asked for ID when using them. Posts are from this year too so personally i wouldn't risk using one.

Yes, the parking pass is actually someones AP and they are being a bit naughty renting them out...that said I have never been asked for ID when presenting my AP for parking at WDW....I am always asked for ID at US/IOA and SW/BG and AQ

  • Hi I'm going for 2 weeks with my 2 kids - 1 week to Disney World Resort Orlando and then on a road trip to Miami. Can anyone recommend any kid friendly places to stay in Miami or should we steer clear? The keys maybe? Thanks
