All this ticketting is confussing me. We dont want a 14/7/5 day pass. Theres just us 2 adults and a baby so we dont want to go mad at parks as he wont remember it and i doubt he can go on much anyway. SO we just want to go to Magical Kingdom and Seaworld. Will probably throw Aquatica in there too as the tickets arent much more for that and Seaworld. So am i better off buying tickets on the day? I cant seem to find many places that do 1 day tickets, found one here www.park-tickets.com but not sure if its legit?

Did a search on TA, it was back in 2010, but there weren't any probs
Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!

Lucie, it costs a lot of money for one day tickets so this is why you do not see them advertied anywhere. You can get a 1 day park pass - prices are listed in the link a few posts up.

Same again with Seaworld really. People rarely buy 1 day tickets. How old is your little one? There are shows at Hollywood Studios, Little Mermaid, Little Einsteins, might they be of interest to him.

Where are you staying? If you are not going to be doing the parks, how about a week at the beach as well or something?

I've not heard of that park-tickets website - I've had a look and they seem to have someone here at the end of the phone but they are actually a booth on the 192 which would ring alarm bells for me, sorry. There are actually no contact details, no address, just am email and phone number. I'd not risk it personally.

This just came in from Livingsocial and the email. Details are also on the companies website: http://beyondboundariestravel.com/2012/

It for going to a private party at WWOHP. £600 (ish) pp.

There are few things more exclusive than an academic acceptance letter that gives you access to a secret Kings Cross Station platform––unless it's this week's Escape to Orlando, Florida for a VIP after-hours romp through The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ at Universal Orlando Resort©, courtesy of Beyond Boundaries Travel.

On the final night of your epic adventure, you'll be living larger than the Minister when you visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ after-hours for unrestricted park access as the guests of honor at an exclusive private party closed to the public.

Conjure up more fun than taming a dragon on rides and attractions like Harry Potter and the The Forbidden Journey™, Dragon Challenge™, and Flight of the Hippogriff™. Or, buy up some baubles at stores such as Filch's Emporium of Confiscated Goods™, Zonko's™, the Owl Post™, and Dervish and Banges™.

Such a wickedly good time is sure to work up a giant-size appetite; just snap your fingers and partake in an included buffet dinner loaded with puddings and Butterbeer™ before flying home with a commemorative gift.

Hmmm week at the beach would probably have been a better idea actually :o We've booked the Radisson on International drive. We may still visit cocoa beach if OH decides on a rental for a couple of days. I didnt know they did shows for little ones at universal, he's 9 months and will probably enjoy Little Einsteins so will definately look into going there aswell now, thanks!

Hya - The little einsteins are at Disneys Hollywood studios not universal - Seaworld has Sesame Street shows too now so they might entertain him as well x

Yes, Universal does have Barney though.

They also do 'parent swap' passes so you and hubby can go on the coasters. One queues and rides then the other gets on at the exit.

Don't miss out on things you really want to do just because you have a baby, they'll be napping a lot of the day anyway. There are loads of shows to see as well.

Mandles, if you get DLA for your son then get one - this is what the money is for. My husband was the same as yours - then we lost him at the Halloween Party. We found him and hubby had him on his shoulders and was getting tired and DS asked for a stroller and he said 'well, OK then' and that was it. He realised just how much easier it was doing the parks with it and it went everywhere with us after then!!

They sell on eBay for pretty much cost price (get it from Boots and get points - it is classed as baby equipment so look out for the treble points promotion I got £70 worth when I bought Ryans!!) so if he does not use it ever again, sell it after. I said to hubby 'I'll put it on the plane and then leave it in the hotel room, it is not that big' and went from there. You can do it :D I think a lot of it is the stigma but my husband soon got over that to make life easier and he no longer had to carry him. THAT made a difference!!

Yes, someone else said COTD was expensive for a big car but we have only got a smaller one, we do not need a 7 seater. I intend on taking as little as possible..... with cases inside :D

Glad you had the same problem. I like the way you dealt with it, i think i may do the same as you as regards taking it "in case" as my husband is not keen. My lad also said no as everyone will laugh at him but will probably be fine once in disney, and so much thanks for boots points tip. Will look out for that.:D

Thank you soo much again, most helpful.:)

    No worries, experiences all help.

I think a lot of it was that for my husband it was everyone else looking at our son and then knowing he had disabilities when he looks 'normal' on the outside. Or perhaps he then had to accept that his son has these disabilities. I told my husband that if was happy to accept the GAC pass to make our day easier then he has to accept that the buggy makes DS's day easier. There are always the Disney strollers to fall back on but it does get expensive to hire each day, but that is an option the one we have will last until he is 12-14 so we will get many holidays out of it.

When you get there your son will see lots of bigger children in Disney strollers and buggies so do not make an issue of it until you are actually there. No-one will be laughing, there are kids of 10 years plus being pushed around in Disney strollers at times. My son said he would not use it but when we get there he just gets into it. Tell him you are going to park it up near the entrance and come back if he needs it later in the day as a trial. My son said the same but it was very different when we got there and he asked for a Disney buggy - and after that the Elite came everywhere with us. :D

As I say, we hide it for the majority of the photos so him being seen in it by people here is not an issue, those where he is in the buggy are for our computer and eyes only. Some of them I deleted as we had enough of him out of it so we did not need all of the 4500 photos I took anyway. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
