    Hi Folks!
Can any UK travellers please advise how much I should be looking at PP for a week - 10nights, staying International Drive area, 1st week in May 2012...or can anyone advise how much they paid this year to give me an idea??
Is one week long enough or should I just go for 10 nights?
Just need a starting point so I can start looking at prices.
Also, are there any recommendations for websites to buy park tickets and rent a car? As there are only two of us I was thinking we will just go to a hotel instead of renting a villa, therefore, we will be booking hotel & flights together.
    Thanks!

You can easily fill three weeks in Orlando, but it really depends on what you want to do as to whether you need to go for 10 nights rather than a week? As an example, Universal, Disney and SeaWorld between them have seven theme parks, not including the water parks. You then have a many other things to do so even with no rest days built in, a fortnight's gone before you even try ;)

For car rental I just cruise the screen scrapers and go with the cheapest, which in the past have included www.usrentacar.co.uk

We went for 3 weeks - one week ID and 2 weeks Disney. We was out every single day and when we was in Disney went up to ID/Universal - and there are still things that we did not manage to do, or go back to. Which is a shame as now we have to go back next year. :D

There is more than enough but it does depend on what you want to do.

PS. My son is now 48" - our Theme Parking is about to get a little more exciting!! :D

Ahh ok... thanks! I forgot that the 2 year old would need a ticket as well for the dining plan. Sounds like there will be enough food to share anyway :)

Thanks again for all the help! I'm sure i will have plenty more Q's soon! :)

Can anyone recommend a decent, inexpensive, 3 star hotel in Orlando ?

Can you recommend any of these:
    Champions World Resort
    Ramada Gateway Hotel and Inn
    The Orlando Metropolitan Express
    Destiny Palms Hotel Maingate West

    Thanks

Can anyone tell me if the park tickets from Travel Republic are actual tickets or vouchers to be redeemed on arrival? And the tickets from the official WDW Site? I have a feeling that the Disney tickets are a print out to then be collected from a booth, where are the booths located and how awkward is it to collect? I suppose it won't be the end of the world if we have to go to Downtown Disney on our first day there, will be a good way of breaking OH into the magic! ;)

I think I've found the cheapest deal for tickets but can you confirm or point me in the direction of better deals?

    I'm planning on getting:
Disney's 14-Day Ultimate ticket WDW Offical site £220
Universal 2-Park Bonus 14 Day Ticket Travel Republic £85
Seaworld, Aquatica & Busch Gardens Travel Republic £73

    TIA :)

Hi we had to collect our tickets with thomas cook at downtown disney, did the evening that we landed, as we had our tea/supper there. Only bought from them, and never again - attraction tickets direct are actual tickets. We buy 7 adults at a time, so they do 'special' prices for bulk buying.

If you get them from WDW you will be sent a voucher, this can be presented at any ticket booth (except the water parks) in exchange for hard tickets.

If you are staying in a Disney resort, they will be added to your room key but you can go to Town Hall in Magic Kingdom or the Customer Services desk in DTD and exchange them for hard tickets.

We've just bought ours from FloridaTix- they're currently a bit more expensive on there (£223 for Disney, £87 for Universal), so I phoned up and they price matched for me. Ordered Friday, received via special delivery on Tuesday. Also they're the actual tickets, not a voucher. Plus at the mo they include a $10 Planet Hollywood voucher with any order aswell, and they're recommended on the Florida section of the main site which says they're an official UK distributor for Disney.
