  • I telephoned virgin on sat and was told that as the childrens price only came to £419.00 i could only use vouchers to that amount, although i have a total of £2800 of vouchers to set against 2 adults 2 children. Asked where this was stipulated agent went away and said that as i had not been told this they would honor the £2800 but insisted that i chose a more expensive hotel therefore putting cash in their pockets. s anyone else experienced this

You got very lucky by getting them to agree that, it is up to £700 per person, if you are spending less then of course you cannot use £700 of vouchers on kids price of £419.00 - I thought that was obvious TBH. It is in the terms and conditions.

If you went to Spain for £500 each would you still expect to use £700 of vouchers?

More lucky is that you cannot usually use them on Taxes and Duty (also stipulated in T&C) so you got a great deal - I would not complain about it.

After all, you could have paid in cash and gone somewhere cheaper, they did not make you pay by CC Vouchers.

Have you actually booked or have you just called for a quote?

    At Universal?

LOL, lots of MSEr's going those 2/3 weeks.

ETA: OMG. Just read up on it - I cannot even cope with the Haunted House in MK, LOL. I don't think I'll be going then - I'll not sleep for weeks.

Cool, I found it. That link was not there when I last looked, it said to call, so I guess they have only just started offering them online. I have read they only sell limited tickets online.

We bought online for the Princess & Pirate Party but thought they must have stopped it.

See you there then.....!! I'll be looking out for your birthday badge now!! How exciting, LOL.

I'll be easy to spot lol - I'll be the 43 year old teenager with an 11 yr old rolling his eyes in embarassment :D

  • Looking for a bit of advice. Heading to orlando for 2 weeks at the end of September. This is not the first time I have been but it is the first time I have driven from the airport to the hotel. Flying into Sanford and staying at one of the Disney hotels. Planning to take the 417 toll road.

My questions is - how do I go about paying at the tolls? Are they all manned and able to give change? Or will I need to find somewhere to get a big bundle of quarters at the airport?

    Thanks.

Definitely get some quarters. We didn't when we went last year, assuming the first toll booth we got to would be manned and we'd be able to get change. It wasn't, and we didn't have any. I ended up chucking a quid in and driving off!

Don't know what road we took, so can't tell you if it is that one or not, but from now on I will always go prepared!! Should have known having been before, but never really had to think about it as dad was always driving but last year it was just me and OH and we didn't even think about it.

Can you recommend which sites are best to get the lowest possible prices for these?

Car hire, we always use https://www.usrentacar.co.uk go for the Budget cars and have the upgrade.
Discovery Cove you have to book with DC. sooner the better as it gets very busy!
For the Disney tickets Seaworld and Universal try--

    http://www.orlandoattractions.com/
