Going to Orlando in a couple of weeks. I don't have a Visa card and am wary about taking a large amount of cash. Has anyone used American Express travellers' cheques recently? I've heard reports of fraud in the USA and some places do not accept them - is this correct?
Thanks!0 -

I am hoping that someone here might have recently been and riden or been up close to forbidden journey in IOA, we are booked to stay onsite at universal in August mainly for the onsite benefits but a friend was telling me yesterday that they are stopping people from riding if you are too tall or big (large), does anyone know how tall - we are a family of four and are 5'10, 6', 6'4 and our 18yr old is 6'7" my friend told me that he will not be allowed to ride as he is too tall, he is gutted to say the least and has always been extremely sensitive about his height. I have phone Universal but they were so non commital that I am considering cancelling the hotel and staying at Disney instead as we have been before and are only really interested in WWOHP. ThanksFibro-Warrior0

Hi there
There is a good thread on the Dibb about this:

I guess it's hard to get good feedback yet due to the very low number of people that have managed to ride it.0 -
we are booked up for 3 weeks from 25th March 2011, we are confused what is best way to buy tickets, we reckon we will be in universal the most, our kids will be 8 and 11 at time of travel, we were given a booklet about tickets from our travel agent attractionworld.com, they have the one exclusive pass that allows 14 days unlimited access to universal, wet n wild and all disney parks, epcot, seaworld, aquatica and busch gardens, comes in at £409 per adult and £369 kid (3-9), has anybody ever purchased one? also would this be able to be upgraded to 21 days?0

Hi, I have just bought our tickets from the travel agent for our trip next year. We got everything all disney, all univeral and busch gardens etc. they called it 'the one' ticket but you are just buying the individual tickets in a package deal and will have the normal passes as if you bought them seperatly. I think it saved us about £10 pp this way0 -
We have booked our tickets for next March with attraction tickets direct. They do a good range of tickets including the Orlando freedom ticket. £409 for 2011
Attraction tickets direct
You can book them with a 10% deposit and there are no credit card fees.JeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -

Jem8472,
Does that site let you pay them up? Havent seen the orlando freedom ticket on the site0 -
I would certainly use ATD. but you are not being given anything with the 'one' ticket. i think the way to go is to search around. 'Undercover tourist' 'Themepark tickets direct' see what dealer is recommended on the DIbb and then get ATD to price match and then see what price they will give you the one ticket for. Bit of messing about but half the fun of the trip is the planning.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0
