anyone been over recently? is it still possible to pick up a deal on park tickets when you get them there as it seems very expensive on sites on the internet and a lot of tickets comes as bundles and as me and my gf are in our twenties we do not neccesarily want to get tickets to parks we do not intend to visit....if you catch my drift....

Tbh it is possible, you'll need to visit the ticket booths, there is one by the Levis store/Arabian nights on the 192 near Celebration. However, you may not be able to park hop and do not take this for granted, if you go into the waterparks and there is a storm an hour later you will have to leave and so it'll mean paying all that money and doing something else for the rest of the day whereas if you have a 'hopper' you can do different things and go back again another time.

It costs around $70 for WDW/Universal, etc... and if you spend all day queueing for something and it breaks down you either spend that money again going back or miss it.

Do not underestimate needing a 14 day hopper!!

Which parks do you want to visit and for how many days? We can give an idea then.

Does anyone know whether the ESTA form is checked BEFORE you leave this country when you ARRIVE in the US? Would hate to travel to the US only to be declined entry at the airport:eek:

The earlier the better - The OHS check it when you submit it and as you cannot travel without it now you'll not be allowed into the US without an ESTA (I am not sure if the UK side check before they board you).

As Mr L says - they are still doing "green" & "white" forms as they are running together until OHS decide to phase out Green & white.

Your ESTA is valid for 2 years once you have it - I haveseen a few problems where they are denied because of "someone else with the same name" and if that happens it means a visit ti US Embassy to sort it out - so the earlier you know you have it approved = the earlier your peace of mind.

came back week ago,if you go down i-drive there is a yellow booth below the wooden go cart track that sells used tickets with days left on them cheap, you can then go to guest relations at the parks and get them to add extra days on for about $3.50 a day so long as the 14 days has not elapsed since it was used for the first time if they are of that type.
they do get the ultimate tickets come in aswell which have no time expiry,i payed $50 for a hopper with 1 day left on and got guest relations to add on 4 for $15ish.
be carefull going to other booths as they try and get you to sit through a 3 hour timeshare selling session before giving you cheap tickets.

    Thanks Karen.

I posted on the US currency forum but possibly the wrong place due to the lack of response.......
I have an American Express card & I wondered whether it is worth using it in Florida or whether I'd be heavily stung. I don't need to use it but was thinking about the possible airmiles I'd get on it. Any advice appreciated please.

Also if anyone has come back recently can you recommend the best places for Twilight stuff. DD is saving like mad to fill her own shipping container with Twilight goodies and send it back!
  • Hi there we travel on the 19th June to Orlando and obviously will be wanting to visit the new Harry Potter ride, after reading on here about people booking for it, is this something you need to book seperate tickets for. We have already bought out Universal passses and our Disney passes so Im a bit confused. Thanks
