selling unused currency - any help please!

Hi all,
I've recently bought £350 of Dominican Republic Pesos (18,500) from the post office.
Unfortuantely, we've had to cancel the holiday, and the post office will only allow us to sell back for £279 (commission free - of course!)
Does anyone know any better ways to change back to lessen my losses?
So much for their 'buy back your unused currency commision free!' offer. (well, I know technically they are - but just offering a bad rate, but I still feel a bit conned).

If you shop around a bit you may find a better deal somewhere else - but I wouldn't expect it to be wildly different. Buy back rates are almost universally poor.
And martin's money maximiser has a buy back section - might be worth a look there0 -
Selling unused currency on eBay is actually a good way to find buyer.
But sofar, I have not seen anyone sell currency which is still in circulation on eBay. Normally bank notes and coins are sold for collection ...
Could you please provide the link where on eBay people are selling currency ... ??stick it on eBay!0 -
Find a colleague/friend who is going to the Dom Rep and sell it to them at a mutually advantageous rateEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0
