Upset due to horrible ebayers :-(

Sold some games and dvds on ebay that i bought last week from morrisons as they were having a major clearout of pretty new games and dvds at bargain prices so thought it'd be a great idea to make a bit of profit on ebay. Some buyers are now leaving me neutral feedback saying these do not look new as they were not shrink wrapped or sealed.

I did not state in the listing that they were sealed but they were all brand new.

Is there any way that i can get these neutral feedbacks removed as i have always had a 100% feedback record and this has really upset me.

Please help

Hey there is a forum on ebay, you get some horrid people on that too... but someone will be able to answer your question for you. shame if you said that they were unwrapped, if you had brought them seperatly you could have produced the till receipt to prove your point! good luck

No, you can't get them removed. New would imply wrapped, so the only thing to do is to be more careful next time. It doesn't affect your 100% though, if it's any consolation- your buyers will see 100% unless they click through to actually look at the comments.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

Have you declared yourself as a business seller? If not this could be buyers out to make a point.

For that reason I would urge caution going anywhere near the community boards even with a posting ID, they will eat you alive. Several members specifically target business sellers masquerading as personal sellers and I would stay well clear.

As for the neutrals you can't get them removed and they are not that dangerous if you have enough positives to outweigh them. However, keep a beady eye on your expanded seller dashboar, in particular keep checking to see if buyers start leaving 1 or 2 * for any reason (you can see this on the expanded bit) as that could cause problems later.

Just bought a few cheap dvds and games seeing it as a good investment as i am trying to clear my debts and its kind of back fired in my face :-( Just upsets me as i like to be a good seller and keep everyone happy!!

You'll recover from a few neutrals, but really do keep an eye on the expanded dashboard. If it starts to look dodgy at all get some other quick turn over items sold to get some positives in.

The community boards are hillarious. No way should anyone ever post there without a posting ID and even if you are using one be prepared for someone to track down your listings anyway.

None of it is actually particularly helpful to anyone but the taxman I guess, but yes, "are you registered as a business seller" is one of the favourite trolls of the local sub-bridge-dwellers. Since you bought to sell, you come under their remit and they will rip into you mercilessly, threaten to report you for tax-evasion etc ad infinitum. Have fun.

I agree utterly, eBAY community boards are vitriolic nd cruel places. They seem to be lying in wait for members who want advice and promptly give them a kicking. No help, just abuse!

I thought that some members here could be harsh especially to 'newbies' but, compared to the eBAY community boards, MSE members are !!!!!cats in comparison.

They do seem to be particularly obsessed with the idea that anyone who sells should be registered as a business and gang up to post abuse on sellers looking for answers. I speak from experience and state

    This.

Seriously. We're a bunch of kitty cats on here. If you want to get ripped apart by a pack of wild (actually, they seem quite organised...) dogs, then try your luck on the community boards. Please do not use your actual normal ebay ID though, no matter what the circumstances. You're going to get rent limb from limb regardless, so use a posting ID.

Hey, the Q&A is tough, but actually there are some very knowledgable people there too.

They say there's no such thing as a stupid question (here) but over there, there are plenty of people who deserve to get ripped to shreds! (And the rest... well either they have something to hide and don't like it being mentioned... or they say something stupid!)

Some of them are fragile and run away and hide... some of them stick it out and maybe learn something... and the rest turn into psychos! (Formerly known as albatrosses... I haven't seen a good albatross in years)
