a little help please re moving internet contracts

I have recently moved out of my parents house and have started a contract with 02 in my new home (i have a contract with them so way cheaper for me). However i kept the Tesco broadband connection running in their house as my brother still uses it and i still have a lot of things connected to the tesco email address i use. and thought it would be simpler. However theres a tenner of a difference per month and i would rather get rid of tesco.
So....
My question really is - if i wanted to cancel the tesco connection and get my brother to sign up for the o2 broadband (he is a contract customer) do i need to do the MAC code thingy or is it just a case of me cancelling my contract with tesco and him starting one up with o2?
been with tesco for about 4 years so no minimum term to wait out.
hope that makes sense? im not terribly clued up on this and dont want to make a hash of it.
thank you

get a MAC, otherwise you'll probably be facing a ceasation charge of £25 ish for fully cancelling broadband on the line - plus you'll be broadband-less for 4 weeks0

ahhh i didnt realise that - this is why I need to check before I act.
thank you :beer:0 -
getting the MAC code is the fastest way to do it0
