You haven't said how much (in total) you're wanting to transfer. The 6.3% rate is restricted to the first £5K, or 90% of your credit limit...whichever is the lower. Anything over this, whilst being fee-free, will be charged at 6.9% APR...
You can transfer between £250 and £5,000 or 90% of your credit limit, whichever is lower. This is subject to the available credit on your account.
We reserve the right to refuse a credit card balance transfer or to limit the amount you can transfer. If we do allow you to transfer an amount over £5,000, the excess will be debited to your account and charged at 6.9% interest per annum until paid in full. We will not charge a handling fee on the excess.
Hold on, are the options 6.3% with a 3% fee or 6.9% with no fee?
I understand that if you go over £5k then you have to have the second option, but before that are you able to choose the second option in preference to the first?
You'd have to be paying the debt off for around 10 years to make the small interest rate reduction worth paying that fee.
It strikes me that the "offer" is a worse deal than the "standard"!
