Balance Transfer Help....

You misread my post.
As I said, Barclaycard will accept a transfer from other credit cards like NatWest, but if you requested a transfer to your bank account then, unless otherwise stated (and I'd want written confirmation), you'd be charged standard rates.
That interest accrues from day one and the transaction would be trapped behind your low-rate offers in the payment hierarchy, so not a good move, IMO.
The OP wants to pay off his balance with Mail order company. Barclays doesnt allow to do any BT with it.
So he pays off the balance with Mail order company using his Natwest Credit card. And then transferring the balance with Natwest to Barclays.
When the OP has clearly mentioned this, whats the need to talk about a transfer to the bank?
PS: Thanks for correcting me on BT to and from.I am neither a bull nor a bear. I am a FTB, looking for a HOME, not a financial investment!0 -

I'm a longstanding Barclaycard customer and that's news to me. Are you sure the cc was Barclaycard?
…
Hi Moggles,
I am certain the card was Barclaycard. It was in July 2004 for £3k and I was charged a £60 balance transfer fee.
I saw an offer for 2.9% balance transfer (for life) on the website. I phoned them up to find out to find out more and the guy offered to balance transfer to my current account.
I did get the 2.9% rate0 -

Hi everyone,
Thank you for all your responses. I have spoken to Barclaycard since and they confirmed that I cannot balance transfer mail order account and if I do a cash balance transfer onto my account then I would loose the rate offer but what they said is that I can transfer as many balance transfer from my natwest CC as I want as long as I don't go above my Barclaycard limit, currently £6,600 and that I do it within the 60 days time frame to be able to get the 6.3%, if I do any balance transfer after the 60 days then the rate would be 6.9% which is still very good and that is for the life of the balance.0
