I realise this thread is over 2 years old, but I thought I'd let you all know that Emily had her life-saving lung transplant last year and is now doing incredibly well! You can read about how she's enjoying her new life on her blog - http://www.pinkandsmiley.blogspot.com/ (I'm sure she won't mind me posting it
)
Also, reviving this thread might encourage a few more people to sign up to the Organ Donor Register - http://www.uktransplant.org.uk/ukt/how_to_become_a_donor/how_to_become_a_donor.jsp0 -
Although this thread is over two years old, the need for people to sign up continues. Thanks for bumping it! (My DH had a kidney transplant 11 years ago.) And I'm so pleased your friend had her life-changing transplant. All the best to her.astral_dolphins wrote: »I realise this thread is over 2 years old, but I thought I'd let you all know that Emily had her life-saving lung transplant last year and is now doing incredibly well! I have signed up. At the end of the day i dont understand why people dont. If they're not going to use them and someone else could then why not.
I'll spread the word xx0/2013
