Orange want my payment deals after leaving them, anyone else in the same boat?

I left Orange after they put up their prices. A month on, they want my payment details and I'm wondering why- is anyone else in the same boat? Is it a refund, or a charge? Why don't I phone them up I hear you ask? Well I'm at work at the moment, so I need to wait unitl I get home, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. Am I in for a nasty shock, like a leaving fee (I was out of contract anyway when I left), or a nice surprise like a refund (here's in hope).
Here is a sequence of events.
1st June: Letter from Orange sent
5th June: Letter arrives saying they are putting their prices up. I have 30 days to respond from the letter date. Nice touch, so now I have 24 days left realistically?
5th June: I start thinking about leaving.
8th June: Monthly payment goes to Orange as normal.
8th June: Apply for MAC
9th June: Receive MAC and start the leaving process: joined plusnet
16th June: Plusnet connected, orange disconnected
8th July: Payment goes to Orange as normal, 14.99 a month rather than the 19.99. I figured I needed to pay this as I needed to give 30 days notice....
8th July. Cancelled Direct Debit
11th July: Orange send email saying my payment details are wrong....
16th July: I receive the above email after just checking my Orange email account randomly.
Can anyone comment?

My guess is it's a refund as you pay a month in advance. When I spoke to Orange CS, they didn't mention 30 days notice.
Have you tried logging onto your Orange account and looking at your latest bill?0 -
Hi, that's what I was hoping.... I looked at my latest bill and its 14.99, it is for the June-July period, so in theory its for what has gone out this month.... will ring them later, it's just bugging me at the moment! I can't phone them from work unfortunately as 0844 numbers are blocked.
Thanks

Just an update on this. I contacted orange today. Apparently I still owe them 9.99 for some reason, despite the 30 days notice being up today from when I changed over, and having already paid until 24th of July of this month anyway! Apparently for some reason my account won't get cancelled until 1st August!
According to them they only start the 30 days from when they get the MAC from the new supplier. Fair enough, that's what I anticipated. But that was 30 days ago, on 16th June. They can't argue that they didn't get it then because they wouldn't let anyone take my supply over!
What's going on??? Anyone got any advice? Anyone from Orange on here?
Those who left Orange, and haven't cancelled their direct debits, I advise you to check your bank balances! I think this is some kind of con! And for those who have left and not checked your Orange email recently I recommend you do.
They threatened to charge me an extra payment of £5 for a "late payment" if I didn't update my bank details!
