Talk Talk Installation Charge - No Deal

DD is trying to get talk talk package for flat. Are there any offers cutting installation around. Phoned customer services and they would not take a penny off even when she told them that her family home has been with talk talk since start of offering broadband. The person she spoke to treated it all as a bit of a laugh which is quite offensive to young person starting out.
Cannot go through Quidco as is phone has been disconnected for so long is a new installation. BT and Post Office will both install for free but means getting broadband from different supplier as they are dearer for package. Can actually get cheaper by BT and seperate broadband but know that BT installation can take a long time.

If the phone line does not have a dial tone on it are you sure PO will connect for free.
Post Office Home Phone has no minimum term/ no cancellation fee for their phone service. So she could connect with them and then move straight away to Talk Talk if she really must, and only pay her line rental and calls for the period used.
The Post Office £20.50 a month Phone/Broadband bundle is very popular at moment.(Lots of inclusive calls. including mobiles at weekends).0 -
the post office will charge £107 to install.
o2 broadband seems like a good deal at £7.50 if you go with the bt connection but it appears you have to spend atleast £10 every 3 months on a pay as you go sim, so takes it up to £10 a month
combined with bt weekend and evening calls at aprox £14 a month including line rental this takes it up to £24. not sure how you could get around the o2 sim.0 -
please people don't take this the wrong way but when ever i talk to talktalk i get more done and faster when i speak to a english person instead of someone from there india call centres. I find over the past 4 years i have had less problems and all my issues have been dealt with perfectly when i speak to the UK call centre.0
