3 and corporate larceny

I'm hoping to enlist the power of MSE to expose the blatant dishonesty of 3 mobile phones and Hutchison 3G UK Limited.
They claim to have roaming agreements in all major European countries. Not true. I've just returned from Spain - Girona and Barcelona to be precise - with absolutely no service whatsoever. I found myself cut off from my family and business at one of the busiest times of year. Others I spoke to had no problems with Vodafone, O2 and Orange, yet 3/Hutchison get away with what is basically corporate larceny.
Now I know why my daughter, who was also foolish enough to sign up with 3, is unable to send text messages to France - a complaint I voiced on the MSE forum some weeks ago.
Sincerely
Christopher Proudlove

3 - Welcome to our network.
I can't repeat what I say every time I hear their adverts.
Three have been constantly mentioned on this site for their bad coverage - I currently have a contract phone with Vodafone and would never dream of touching 3.0 -
3 are C**P enough said!!0

got my son a 3 phone.
it says that we should have coverage, but we have not.
luckly the plan is to unlock the phone after the credit ends and use his vodaphone sim in it.0 -
cproudlove,
This might be a silly question, but did you enable roaming before you left?
I have been using three in several different countries for the last few weeks without any problem. If anything the coverage is much better than in the UK. It was a hassle getting the roaming enabled, as initally they wanted a £250 deposit, but they relented after a great deal of arguing.

I use 3. I must say that it hasn't caused me any problems coverage wise.
I tried it on motorway journeys Manchester to Liverpool and Liverpool to Redditch, and experienced no problems. It even worked in the Mersey tunnel!0
