And can we just clarify that your bills were not estimated? What did the other bills say in terms of usage?
There is absolutely no way on God's earth that you have actually used 5000 kWh of electricity in three summer months. If you had the heating on, I'd doubt it.
The actual readings on the meters might be different because meters get replaced etc. and of course people use electricity differently, but I agree that if all of them show roughly the same and yours is double, then something's up.Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

You simply cannot use 5,040kWh in 3 summer months without heating - just not possible.
You really need to check if the start meter reading on your latest bill is estimated - it will have an (E) against it.
If the reading in April/May is well under-estimated, this current July bill could be(correctly) charging you for last winter's heating.0
