    That's amazing!!!:j
Perhaps he was nervous first time, then got the hang of it next time?
Could it be as simple as just diet & exercise? DH does absolutely no exercise:(

    Good luck with your IUI!

The consultant said it could be anything. The first time OH was stressed as he had to queue and when he was waiting realised he would run out of time on the parking ticket (he was issued with a fine). But I think the diet and exercise makes him less stressed though and that has improved significantly after the first sample. We will never know.

Well done CCM OH on sperm results - what a jump!

QQ - hope follies are all growing and perfect for OH sperm.

Toni - I am actually not comping at the moment, I decided to give myself a couple of weeks off, I know it should be the perfect time really but I just need a break from it, I get worked up about at times.

OH has been good about cleaning and shopping but he did manage to break the door on the washing machine (a bit heavy handed me thinks) so will be ordering a new one now, more expense.

The egg retrieval was fine, only have AF like cramps - except that it hurts to pee:shocked: Did they use a catheter I wonder?
They collected 19 eggs, but some were rotten:o

Egg transfer if all goes well should be Saturday:)
  • Hi all,

I know I don't post a lot on this thread; however it's given me a lot of hope that miracles can and do happen.

Just to recap, my wife and I have been married for nearly 10 years and we've been trying for a baby for over 9 years. We've had 1 failed ICSI where we had 9 eggs but none fertilised. We are just starting our second IVF.

We've just found out that my wife is pregnant. She went for a scan after not down regulating on the IVF injections and was told it was because she was pregnant. She didn't down regulate last time and so we just thought it was the same thing happening all over again.

After all of the medical intervention over the years it appears that the pregnancy happened naturally - without IVF, clomid or anything else.

Although I'm a guy, I understand how sensitive this whole issue is. We've had many many occasions where we've been told by friends and family that they have fallen pregnant. Although we've been very pleased for them, there is that feeling that eats away inside of you saying why can't it be us. Between years 3 and 7 of trying, I found myself becoming very angry with the world in general because it wasn't working. I found myself not wanting to go to events where there would be lots of kids etc. In the recent years, although it still hurts, I've reached the point where I just assumed that it was never going to happen.

I was torn as to whether to post on here. I don't want people to think that I'm in some way saying 'we've done it - look at us'. I just want to give people some hope that perhaps a miracle is just around the corner for all of you. I sincerely hope it is.

If I could wave a magic wand for you all, I definitely would. All I can say is that please don't give up hope.

I understand that this is just the first step and there is still a long way to go to go to full term; however it's so strange that it has finally happened. It still hasn't sunk in.

I've been trying to think what we have done that is different and why it worked on this occasion. Unfortunately, there is nothing. For some reason it just happened to be our time.

Anyway, I'll still be monitoring this thread and will be hoping that you all will have a miracle occur at some point.

    Good luck...
