Pay As You Go internet and BT Light User Scheme

I'm currently on BT Light User Scheme and would like to get a pre pay (PAYG)
internet provider like the ones i've read about on MSE (MIP Card and Firefly Freedom), where you pay a fee and get free minutes with no subscription, no monthly fees, no bill etc just top up when needed.

I currently use a dial up 0845 number but works out more expensive than 1p/min because it bumps the bill up and eats away my light user rebate.

Does anyone know if there are any pre payment schemes where I can top up when I need, but that can be used in conjunction with my Light user scheme.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

There are no prepay schemes that I know of that would assist you.

However, AOL use 0800 (freephone code) for their subscription based dialup access. It costs £15.99 per month and it shouldn't upset the Light User Scheme. If you join up you get the first month free.

I am also on the BT light user scheme and use a dial up provider called jjtek who you will find at http://www.jjtek-online.com/ They charge an amazingly low £8.99 and its an 0808 number which does not affect my light user scheme. They really are excellent and have given me no problems over the last six months. You have a max 50 hours a month online with them which is more than enough with me.
I have to say though that I am now keeping an eye on the Carphone warehouse deal with free broadband.

JJtek is over priced - zazizam (https://www.zazizam.com) offer 60hrs a month for £6.99, on an 0808 number also - I have just saved you £2 a month, plus given you an extra 10hours of access each month!

So how good are zazizam then. I did not think it would be possible to get a good isp for less than jjtek.

Just checked both web sites. jjtek has a contention ration of 12:1 as opposed to 15:1 with zazazazazam. Still seems a good deal though

I think I will stick with jjtek. I got a bit of sick trying a new isp only to find after a couple of months the service became "pants" . This one has been excellent since I started using it.

I would be sure it will be good for you - its been a great service for the past 2 or so years, so I do not see why it should go wrong now lol

but at the end of the day - it is your choice
