                    Hi,
This morning I sent the email below to easyjet has anybody else noticed this problem?
Hi,
I believe easyjet is superior in everyway to ryanair. Having used both carriers, I'll gladly pay more to fly with you. The reasons: Customer Service and not feeling cheated...that is until this current promotion. You probably always do the same, but can you explain to me why some of your yellow fares are exactly the same they were before the promotional period. It you are not going to provide (in tiny writing) "UP TO" 25% (in big writing), then you shouldn't mislead your customers. For the first couple of days of this promotion you could check the prices with and without discount and even thought the discounted ones were in yellow, there was no change! (Example Gatwick to Split 17 October). I know that in even smaller writing you have a clause that says that prices can go up in the promotional period, but if the price is higher or the same than what it was, you shouldn't highlight it as an offer.
Any comments?

I have found with other Easyjet 'sales' that sometimes the price goes up on the eve of the sale in order to be reduced to the usual price, but that most fares, especially the midweek/off-peak ones are cheaper than usual. I don't think that clause stating that the prices may rise during the promotional period is objectionable. It is just part of the standard airline pricing model - the fewer seats that are left on a flight the more they cost.0

You state your belief, and then go on to give a prime example of why it is not the case. With Ryanair, the offers are exactly as advertised. With Easyjet, the offers are just advertising hype. Any comments?Gone ... or have I?0

And people complain that Ryanair aren't transparent or honest. Hmm.From Poland...with love.

They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0

"Transparent" and "honest" are not 2 words that will often crop up in the same sentence as Ryainair:rotfl:PolishBigSpender wrote: »And people complain that Ryanair aren't transparent or honest. Hmm.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

easyJet do these 'promotions' to avoid their own yield management system reducing prices and then they would have to pay out under their own price promise.
Some prices are reduced, but it is mainly a demand stimulating exercise, so their own yield management system can put up prices.
BTW I found a BA flight on expedia that was £33.60 inclusive, easyJet was £29.85 excluding additions, I am checking in a case so I went for BA which was cheaper, it pays to shop around.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
