Lloyds is not responding to template letter

Then I think you may need to do it again since the ICO recommends sending it recorded mail. And stop the cheque made out as it has been lost in the post and the bank should not charge for doing that.charambboo wrote: »No I didn't, No they havent, and the same place as McAndrs, Swallow Street, Brum.0 -
I sent a Subect Access Request(SAR) to Lloyds recently by 1st class signed for and enclosed a chq for £10.00 I noticed the letter was received and I recently had a reply asking me to fill in their own SAR form 2/3 pages and also enclose a £10 payment! Is this correct procedure or just delay tactics? What is the best next move? Anyone else had a similar reply following a SAR ?0

My personal opinion is that if you have asked for the information and it is clear what you want then I think you have every right to state to the bank that your letter was very clear as to what you were requesting and therefore additional forms are unnecessary.Goodtimesahead wrote: »I sent a Subect Access Request(SAR) to Lloyds recently by 1st class signed for and enclosed a chq for £10.00 I noticed the letter was received and I recently had a reply asking me to fill in their own SAR form 2/3 pages and also enclose a £10 payment! The cheques haven't been lost in the post as it has happened to both me and my wife, we both had an account. They are just being awkward. I wrote to them again after the original letter and then wrote again that I had no choice but to report them0

Can you prove that they received the letters?charambboo wrote: »The cheques haven't been lost in the post as it has happened to both me and my wife, we both had an account. Thank you, yes the SAR I sent was copied off the MSE template section, I will reply as you suggest, it was what I was thinking too.0

Good point, but it must ring alarm bells with the Information Commissioner if this keeps happening, and I'm not likely to waste my time complaining to them if I haven't sent the letters.
I take your point but it's maddening when all the others I've written to have replied and Lloyds seem to think that we can't make them do anything0 -

I'll be honest with you I sent a SAR to natwest 2nd class mail and got a response. However, the ICO site themselves advise recorded mail cos you have a record of it.
I sent mine to the Data Controller off the website which was head office in London for NatWest so not lloydsTSB.0
