Lloyds is not responding to template letter

I posted a template letter plus £10 cheque in October last year, and having had no response, did the same in January this year.

Lloyds returned the second cheque saying they were still holding on to the last one, but hadn't processed it yet.

I haven't been sent details of the charges over the last six years and wonder if they're trying to sit out the court case. Has this happened to anyone else? What should I do?

We should have allowed Looyds TSB to go to the wall. Just like our American cousins, who allowed Lehman Bros. to collapse.

Where did you write to and was that letter in writing?
Hmmm, I might be able to suggest something different. Have they cashed the cheque from October?

  • They haven't cashed the cheque. Yes it was in writing! I used the address given on this forum -

    The Data Protection Officer
    Lloyds TSB
    Swallow House
    10 Swallow Street
    Birmingham
    B1 2AL

Thanks for the advice on contacting the information commissioner. Also interested to hear natweststaffmember's 'something different'.

    Was it sent recorded delivery?

  • I didn't send it recorded delivery, which seems daft but Barclaycard had sent their copy of charges without demur and I hadn't envisaged a problem.

But I think I do have the note Lloyds TSB sent returning the second cheque -

To the effect that the first was being held, was still cash-able and would be dealt with eventually. However I will have to hunt it out.

Wouldn't this count as evidence of receipt of the first?

Write to lloydsTSB and state that you had sent a cheque for £10 last year and that they have no complied with your SAR so they have 7 days of you will complain to the Information Commissioners Office. Send it recorded delivery this time.
