Great that you are having a good time and on a budget too. Hope you come back nice and relaxed.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
in our hotel there is a world conferance on disasters and how various countries would react ...fascinating stuff i can tell ya ...was sitting at breakfast noseying in on the conversation going on at the table next to us i almost wanted to spend the day listening to the plans being made ...people from all over the world are here .... we got on a wrong tram the other day ...well actually it was the right tram it was just going the wrong way so we have seen quite a bit of the outlying district ....
ok plans for today seeing as how i cant do my scratchies etc ...get free boat trip to the castle go round castle but not doing everything because you pay for everything seperately ...and do i really need to see where a royal sleeps ...then a walk round the old town and taking in a few churches before sauntering back and maybe seeing a few synagogues ....how exciting ...0 -

thats the only bit of that we paid for lol ...we had been told that the dragon cave was the only bit worth doing ...mention caves to me and i am there lol....we did that then wandered on down to the churches went inside a few mmmm if any of you have ever been to york minster then save yourself the hassel it is much nicer we paid 1.50 each to get into one ...hubby took a photo and this guy came up and told us we had to pay 1.25 for the privledge hubby wasnt impressed lol ...still it was good to see and we are here for a while ...we then sauntered down to the kazmirez district and tried to get into a synagogue but it was 30 mins before closing so we left it ...might try it again in a few days though
not far from our hotel is schindlers factory so we wandered over to there for a wee walk ...mustve saved us a fortune in tour guide prices...some guys were trying to get us to pay 180pln (45 pounds) each for the tour of the city ...if you are in a hurry and dont have time but do have money go for it but if like us you are skint and have time walk ...if anyone is thinking of coming and they want to do it cheap i would deff recommend going on foot or tram
just sitting chilling just now will get ready to go for something to eat shortly0 -

hey shaun ...not sure if we will get to warsaw due to money but if we can we will deff try it ...i will go up to the nigerian embassy and say shaun sent me ...said you would be alright with me :rotfl::rotfl:
not quite making the 12euros a day shaun to be honest i think yesterday we spent 30 pounds by the time we had dinner (it was late we didnt have much choice the only places open were the dear ones...typical) today though we have spent 8 pounds so far so it is looking better ...will see what it is tonight though0 -
you need to find the big hyper markets,,,,they have cheap restaurants in them ,,,,or the student quarter,,,universities
other option look for the casually dressed workers,,,,and follow them
thats how we do it,,:DWAS DEBT FREE & STILL BAAARRRRRKING

great idea shaun ...was thinking of a milk bar today ...just to see how much we could save ...the restaurant we went to last night was in the square at the old town ...i am sure you can understand why it was soo expensive ...hubby fancied an indian so we looked up where they are and got a tram ...but when we got there the indian was shut so we landed up at an italian eating russian (as you do) but tonight we are staying in our own bit which is the other side of the river so it should be alot cheaper (fingers crossed) will look for workers though lol...didnt know that about the hypermarkets either ...will investigate soon ...cheers0
