nichart20 I have everything crossed for you and everyone else ttc x
  • Could be your body getting back into the swing of things. How much you drink also can have an effect (I mean in hydration terms rather than booze!) I check my cm internally from up by my cervix and this month have had a *lot* more externally than before :o

Tummy pains can be ovulation pains and general re-animation pains! Depending what pill you were on you may not have ovulated and your cervix may have remained in one place all month, so if you think about it your ligaments and muscles and things are getting used for the first time in ages. Don't know about you but I'm dead stiff getting out of bed after a nights sleep, so wouldn't be surprised that after 5 years of hormonal control my bits might feel the same :rotfl:

I was on the mini pill. Thankyou for your help. I have my AF and its still painful and its heavy. I think that i might not have been ovulating. I have ordered clearblue ovulating tests from ebay.
Like you I have been off the pill a few months ( had been on it for 4 years and the injection the 18mths before that ), I'm finding ovulation time I feel heavy womb ( mild cramps on one side) and uncomfortable for about 3 days - AF is heavier that previously

Oh what fun this is ?!?! Hopefuly we'll not have to worry about AF/Ovulation soon !!!!

I hope so too. Its good to have people who are tc to talk to.

Hi Lauralou I'm only 2 weeks or 4 weeks the doctor will take it as - its going to be a long long 8 months!

Shelley how late are you? Is your af normally regular/

Hi, I'm on CD36 and I am normally regular, a 30 day cycle has been the most I have ever had so I am around 6-8 days late I think x

Shelley I would have thought that if you are over a week late if you are pregnant it should more than likely show up on a test, not sure what to advise but I would probably test over the weekend at some point especially if your cycles are usually regular x

Hi everyone wasn't sure if I should post again or not, I posted the other day for advice about testing before af due anyway I ended up testing 2 days early and got a BFN but today came and af had not arrived as usual and have been having the stomach pains as though it was on the way (I had this with my last pregnancy too) so long story short BFP today!!
Sounds exactly the same as me!

    Well done :j:j

Thanks all for your kind words only managed to get back onto the internet now (as been away with work). Spoke to DH last night and was like how are you sure its right, know the odds being less for a false positive .. so was ordered to take another and did a digital (slighly reduced in superdrug at mo for mse) and was a bfp - 1-2 weeks!

It does show to you all trying that opks do work as came up as positive we bded after and we get the bfp, so I would recommend this to all you ladies. :T:T

Jacobsmum: basically you have to work out when you would be likely to OV so for a bog standard 28 day cycleit could be any day from CD10 to CD18 and you just test every day at the same time. The instructions are pretty clear (well, I managed to work them out!).

My friend in RL struggled to conceive her first child and did seek fertility advice and her consultant said that the best way to conceive was to BD every 3 days however sometimes this is just not practical.

I used the OV sticks for 3 months before we got our BFP and I think I ov'd on CD 11 which is early but my cycle tended to be short anyway. The point I'm making is that without the OV sticks I wouldn't have know that I OV'd that early.

Is there anyway you could set up an ebay account?????? It does get expensive otherwise. I got 5 sticks in each pack on my BOGOF and I think I have two or three left. If you want to try them then by all means PM me your address and I don't mind sending them to you.

Good morning everyone! Very early this morning but OH had to get up to go to to work and I was severly overheating and dehydrated (slightly too much wine last night!) so had to get to the well pretty quickly!

Congratulations Hobo, that's amazing news!!!!!!! xxxxxx :j

Ok, so we are on the final day of October, can we squeeze a couple more BFP,s in this morning? Definitely not from me but there must be someone!!!!

Went to a friends 30th last night and saw another friend who got married 2 months after me, she wasn't drinking and when I asked her why, she came up with a really rubbish excuse, turns out she is 9 weeks pg, I'm so happy for her and her hubby but the jealously that shot through me was incredible! Knocked me back a step or two, think thats why I went for the white wine!!

Lauralou, shazrobo and Nichart, maybe we should all write letters to Santa, saying we want babies in our tummies for Christmas! ;)

I hate this! I input my temp on FF this morning and it told me actually, you didn't OV on day 12, you OV'd on day 18. We didn't BD on any of those days, in fact there would be no chance in hell that we're PG. I could cry!

I'm hoping it's wrong because that puts me on a 33 day cycle and i've NEVER had one of those, it's always been between 23 and 28.

What i'm worried about now though is if it's wrong (and i'm right), that means my LP is only about 9 days. I might be wrong, but doesn't that have some significance in ability to conceive?
