My nephew is 14!!! He's huge as well and has a deep voice now. Trouble is he still wants to play stupid games we played when he was little. Unfortunately these things hurt because I'm so little!

I'm only 28 so he makes me feel VERY old.

  • My niece is 3 on friday, and that seems pretty big to me! Shame she's in Aus, but I get to see her at Christmas :)

Just finished an unnecessarily hard day at work, but managed to convince my boss to let me upgrade some of our systems (seriously, some stuff here is run on an Acorn computer - remember them?! No, me neither!!)

(((hugs))) Laura hope the random emissions stop soon for you xx

Right, off to the cinema (An Education courtesy of SeeFilmFirst :D:money:)

  • Evening all

Thank you for a lovely welcome :)

I bought vitamins today, 3 for 2 in Boots. Probably cost me more than I would usually pay, but I was keen to make a start. Do you all take folic acid or do you take a multi vit?

Also, can someone explain about the testing dates? I'm a bit confused :o I'm spending most of my time learning what all the acronyms mean :D

Hi Skintscotslass I started with folic acid but have changed to a vitamin b complex that includes folic acid - it's a seven seas one and specifies ttc (Trying to conceive) on the label.

The test dates... are a list some people use to stop them testing early!! You work out your due date of your next period (also known as AF = Aunt Flo or the witch) according to your normal cycle length and some people like to add a few days on for a suitable pregnancy test date. Then we all wait with bated breath to see if you get a bfp (big fat positive) or boo! a bfn (big fat negative).

Some people love testing too much and too early. ;) Some are scared to test in fear of a bfn  so it's just something we use to see who is due to test and when. Then if / when AF arrives, it all starts again!

Hope that helps and if you've any more questions feel free to shout up as there's loads of friendly people on here who can help.

Thanks for that Katy. I just couldnt quite get my head round it. I think that would probably be useful as I'd be one that would want to test too early. Goodness, so much to think about :D xx

gill - oh thats the brand I bought today! Congratulations luv xx

    Evening ladies

Just managed to have a quick read through; I swear you’ve all got a lot more chatty lately but forgive me if I miss anyone out.

Bam; 17.5 hours shift; where on earth do you work!!!!!! And I hope that they pay you well for it

Courgette; exciting times for you in the next 2 weeks ahead; wishing you all the best on your big day. If you can post a piccy after the event it would be lovely to see you in all your finery looking gorgeous.

Confuzzled: sorry that AF turned up; I was getting far too excited for my own good though I must admit. Onwards and upwards though for next month! N Wales is fab; it’s not far from me and I love it there; all those lovely slate quarries ripe for exploring and climbing in! Trespassing though but never been caught yet!!!! Can you also please add me to the testing list for the 31st October. Thanks v much.

Lauralou: what a nightmare for you at the mo; hope you’re feeling better soon. Thinking of you

CAFC; I’m really really sorry about the rubbish time you’ve been going through. For what it’s worth and feel free to tell me to get lost but I think you’ve made the right decision in ‘stepping away’ temporarily. TTC is enough of an emotional rollercoaster as it is, I struggle daily not to ‘lose it’. When you come back you’ll be much stronger but rest assured that you will be missed. X

Skintscotslass; hi and welcome from me; I’m 37 so not far behind you! I also only take folic acid every day. My diet is pretty healthy with loads of fruit and veg so don’t feel the need for an additional vitamin supplement. There was a list of all abbreviations on the first page I think…

Caseyface: I totally understand where you’re coming from; our hormones don’t understand financial and housing matters; they just want the ‘job done’. Lets hope we seen you again though and confuzzled’s advice is spot on; when you are ready then you know you can crack on immediately.

Twinklie; hope you’re feeling better soon too.

Got positive reading on OP test this morning so it’s all systems go at chez bobs for the next 3 days or so.

Hugs to all those that need them, it’s been quite a month hasn’t it

  • Well im logging in under a fake name because numerous real life people know my mse log in and well i dont actually want them knowing and well i have no one i actually trust enough to spill what im about to spill :S

me n oh havent exactly been trying its more a case of not being careful and then agreeing it wouldnt be the worst thing to happen - i know im stupid etc etc
im now a couple of days late :s and honestly dont know whether to go buy a test or not really - ive googled some symptoms and well i could be based on the stuff i found

we both want children but now im faced with the possibility of it im not even sure what im feeling. not even sure if i should post in here as i know everyone in here wants a bfp so badly (am a secret reader of the forum)

i guess i just want someone to tell me to get my butt into gear buy a test pee on a stick and then return....

oh yeah i had a question - spotting??? how much is classed as spotting??
Could you be my sunshine on a cloudy day?
Could you be my yellow when im feeling grey?
