Its very quiet in here tonight isn't it!

Hi Rummer, and welcome to the thread! I can understand how you feel. In my first month of TTC my period was about 4 days late which was very odd, so I was convinced I was pg, but wasn't. In the 2nd month I felt really ill, so thought I was pg...In the 3rd month I felt fine which made me think maybe I was pg!!

Into the 4th month now and I've pretty much accepted that as my normal monthly symptoms are similar to pg symptoms there's no real way to tell. I think perhaps once you are TTC you notice things more, and perhaps the stress exaggerates things.

Having said all that pg tests take a while to show a BFP so the good news could still be coming this month.

    Good luck!
Proud to be a moneysaver!
  • Hi Maddie - I think that's an really good summary of what it's like - perhaps we should paste it up in large letters at the top of the thread, and all read it each month, to keep us sane...?! (or should that be slightly less crazy...?)

Hello Rummer - I'm a newbie too, but have been lurking for ages - everyone's so supportive and helpful here, so I'm glad I've joined in properly.

    Happy Wednesday.

Maddie you're so right! Well done you for realising it early, it took me months to stop over analysing every single sign! When I think how much more aware we all are of what our bodies do when ttc it's hardly surprising really.
    Welcome to all the newbies!
  • My FF chart is all over the place & despite having 2 days of +ve OPK says that it can't be certain that I've ov'd. I've been trying really hard to do everything right , got a new BBT thermometer, checked my OPK twice a day, been religious in waking up to take my temperature & bd'ing at the so called right time, what more can I do?

I am so fed up & frustrated I could scream.

    Hello

I was wondering if I could join you all? I am ttc and would really appreciate the support. Felt funny the last few days and really thought I was going to get good news but I tested today and got a bfn. Gutted.
Welcome Rummer:) Hope you're not here too long;) and Maddie is spot on:) I'd have saved myself a lot of hassle if I'd realised that early on:rolleyes:

Well I'm still on the list. No sign of AF yet:D The bloody cm I had yesterday seems to of been a one off... no more as yet. Think I'm feeling AF pain and I had heartburn this morning??

A "grrrrrr" for today.... a roof 2 doors away is being demolished so all I can hear is BANG BANG! How inconsiderate:rolleyes:

    Just lost my post!!

I'm on CD2 and at home sick due to pain but not been on heavy duty painkillers which means I'm not stoned outa my head!!

Have a huge amount of sadness though because I wouldn't've even be counting CDs if my little bean had been a sticky one  (damn, just made myself cry thinking about it)
  • Hi all :hello: maddie you're so spot on! astro's right, we should stick that at the top of every page as a reminder!

confuzzled you're so right too! If only it was as easy as the teachers scare you into thinking! I spent 13 years being terrified of getting pg (well, mainly terrified of telling my mum!:o) and now, 7 months in, nada

Anywho, my big sis has started ttc #2 this month and I've already had a phone call asking me all about stuff, bless :rotfl: She's 41 and caught first time with her DD at 38 and is understandably worried that it won't be that easy. Funny thing is we seem to have synchronised cycles, bith on CD10. Not that uncommon I hear you say - it is when she lives in Sydney!

    And in no particular order:

smartie- yay for still being in the running!
lildevil - :grouphug: I don't know what to say honey, I hope you can get through this rough patch and come out the otherside (hopefully with a supersticky bean)
nichart - the 12+ month board may well be the best place to ask, the ladies on there are lovely and I'm sure they'll be able to help you
nat- ((hugs)) totally been there and got the t-shirt, sucks doesn't it?
moneysaver - give it a couple of days (sit on your hands if need be!) and test again if no AF. Good luck!
    rummer - good luck!
courgette - are you resting up? You need to be lovey, or you'll be fit for nowt..
twinklie- I will pick your brains once we've got more of an idea about it all. I'm thinking Alps for proximity and last minute deals at the moment.
    jacobsmum-mmmmm pie *drools*

    thanks for the list confuzzled!

And if I've missed anyone out I'm sorry but my brain has just fried :rotfl:

    sticky babydust!! xx

Hi everyone, just wanted to post a quick update for anyone who remembers me. I've been lurking feeling in limbo-land since getting my bfp at the beginning of aug. Finally had my first scan yesterday and thankfully all is well so I think its time I moved to the other thread. Wanted to say 'thank you for having me' lol and the very best of luck - really hope I'll see some of you again soon! x
